Never a man to rest on his laurels, former twelve times FIM Trial World Champion Dougie Lampkin continues to search for new challenges and opportunities to take the sport of Trial to new and wider audiences.
With this very much in mind the legendary Red Bull athlete recently embarked on his first trip to India to experience another nation and its associated culture especially when it comes to motorcycling which is one of the largest modes of daily transport for the vast population.
Riding his Vertigo Combat Dougie enjoyed two action packed opening days of demonstrations at India Bike Week located in Goa, which is the country's biggest annual motorcycle festival, where he showcased his skills in front of thousands of eager fans and did his best to fulfil the incredibly high demand for media interviews.
Remaining in the Goa region Dougie then joined forces with Red Bull India for a hectic schedule of retail outlet visits that included a shopping centre, a college, local bars and a night club where he made quite an entrance by riding straight onto the bar. Over the same four-day period Lampkin was also whisked off to an amazing array of picturesque locations to shoot a very unique video to capture his tour of Goa.
"As always Red Bull came up trumps when it comes to making ideas become reality. Having the chance to visit so many stunning places in such a short amount of time and to meet so many great people was just brilliant. Each time we turned up at a new location I was simply blown away. Hopefully the video shows just how varied and amazing the trip was."
Lampkin ended by saying. "With so much more to do, it would be great to go back and to explore India more in the future."
