The sixteen year old Porlock rider lost control of his Team MRS Sherco on the steep eighth section on lap one and was unable to avoid what was a heavy fall onto his shoulder and both knees. Up to that time Tom was challenging for the British Youth A Trials Champion along with Telford's Thomas Minta. Tom finished a close third place on Saturday to championship class leader Dan Peace.

The Hooper family are optimistic about the chances of competing in the final event in the series at Holloway, Derbyshire, on October 12. April and Delwyn Hooper convey their thanks to the Stevenson M.C.C. for their assistance.
