Peterborough Trials Club

peterborough tcThe fouth trial of the Peterborough trials club season took place today where 44 riders tackled 5 laps of 8 sections at Ketton Quarry. The conditions were hot, dry and dusty with a few of the sections slippery on the first lap but riding better once the loose had rolled off.

 

The winner of the trial was intermediate Luke Hough Whelpton riding a Gas Gas who dropped just 17 marks. The runner up was fellow intermediate class rider James Drury who dropped 24 marks with the best expert rider on the day Louis Bennet next up on 31 marks dropped.   

 

On the 50/50 route Tom Bishop came out top dropping 43 marks. The best youth rider on the day was Jacob Potts on 64 marks dropped

 

On the middle route Fantic mounted twinshock class rider Oliver Wareing was best dropping just 3 marks from best over 40 rider Pete Ablewhite on 15 marks. The best Novice on the day was Michael John Lefevre on 24 marks dropped with the best clubman going to Richard Carpenter on 47 marks.

 

On the White route there was joint winners with Tony Bilton and Robin Davis both staying clean. Behind them Chris Aylott and Steph Tombling both lost just 1 mark each.

 

On the conducted route there was excellent riding in hard hot conditions. Oliver Rowlatt came out top with Anthony Piper Martin second. Stanley Bone and Christian Piper Martin had a great fun day.

 

Big thanks to everyone who helped us plot the course yesterday, turned out to ride today and especially the observers in the heat its very much appreciated and we couldn’t run the trial without you! We hope to see you all on the 5th August for our next trial at Stibbington.
