Montesa Report From Italy

montesa-hrc-logoIn the Italian Trial Grand Prix held this Sunday, Toni Bou (Montesa Cota 4RT) achieved his fourth victory (The last three consecutive) in the current edition of the World Championship. With this victory, the plurichampion increases his advantage as leader in the general classification, being now five points in front of his closest rival. Takahisa Fujinami (Montesa Cota 4RT) could have achieved a double victory for the team, but a couple of mistakes in the last zones left him in third place on the podium.

Another victory for Montesa as manufacturer in Barzio, presenting their new Cota 4RT, manufactured in the installations of Santa Perpètua de Mogoda (Barcelona), which will be commercialised from September in two versions: 4RT260 and Race Replica.

Toni Bou: “It's been a great weekend, yesterday the presentation of the new Cota 4RT and today this new victory, the third consecutive win, and with my teammate on the podium as well. I came to Italy with a two-point lead in the world championship and I leave with five points. It's been a complicated event, the ones I like, and with three very difficult zones that have had a definitive influence on the result. I wish the upcoming events would have the same level of difficulty as this one, but I'm sure there will be easier ones that will make us suffer. With regard to the new Cota 4RT, I'm convinced that anyone who owns one is going to enjoy it”.

Takahisa Fujinami: “To return to the podium after three events off it is satisfactory. It's a pity that an absurd mistake at the end made me lose the second position we had been working towards all day. In this sense I feel disappointed, as I can't really afford these sorts of mistakes. Even so, I got to the podium, which was important to complete a magnificent weekend for Montesa, with Toni's victory and the presentation of the new Cota 4RT”.
