Alwinton 2 Day Trial 8/9 Sept.

FacebookFacebookTwitterTwitterGoogleGoogleRedditRedditStumbleUponStumbleUpon

The closing date for next weekends Alwinton 2 Day on the 8/9th September has been extended to the 5th September. Entries were too low to allow the event to proceed earlier this week but a ring round of people expected to ride has resulted in an increase in confirmed entries. More entries are expected at this Sundays North East centre trial at Shaftoe Crags where John Crinson and Harry Craig will have forms available. The 5th September is the last date the Secretary can be contacted by phone as he will be setting out the trial from the 6th September and phone reception is not good in the area.

This is only the second time the club have staged the event and we appreciate it takes time for any event to become established. We have established good relationships in the locality with the Forestry Commission and local land owners. If this years event is successful then Clennell Hall Hotel would like to provide a start / sign on facility next year. The hotel are presenting this years winner with a voucher for Dinner Bed and Breakfast for two.

Following further discussions locally we expect to have enough land when Forestry works in the area are complete to have a single lap day and two laps on the other day next year. Whilst this is all good and has potential to be better again we have to have a minimum number riders to make it worth the effort involved and to make it financially viable for the club.

The entry forms and details are posted in the TC Calender.

Colin Battensby, Club Sec. can be contacted on 07967531230.

If you cant get through to Colin either send him a text with your details or send your details to Baldilocks via the TC forums.

If you are staying over on Saturday night please bring enough petrol  for both days as the nearest petrol station is about 8 miles from the start.

Regards and hope to see you next weekend.
