Torrential rain just 90 minutes prior to the start of the opening round of Lancs County’s Ossa Moto supported evening series at Bainsbeck Farm, Arkholme, made the terrain very wet, especially the final three sections which took the bulk of the marks lost.
Held at Bainsbeck Farm, Arkholme nearly 70 riders attended this trial and whilst the scores were perhaps higher than is normal for this venue, riders as a whole seemed pleased with the event.
Best performance was by veteran Neil Wilson who man aged to lose just 15 on his Beta four stroke whilst in the Clubman Adult class it was very close with just single marks separating the top three, Andrew Curwen, Brett Arkwright and Ian Ashton. Seventy four year old Ted Beaty won the Easy course outright from Ronnie Walker (enduro ace Jonny’s dad), by the margin of just four marks whilst Cameron Brice on his new baby Beta showed that Dad Darren is teaching him all the right things by finishing third.
