Shirty's British Championship Say

Ztc 1344No.1 JST GGUK Rider Michael Brown has just won the opening round of the 2014 British Trials Championship in the Lake District organised by the Lakes MTA ltd.

It was a typical wet Lakes day regards to the weather which made conditions very slippery which the results showed.

James Dabill took a narrow one mark lead after the first lap but Michael put in a great second lap to lead by 3 marks going into the last lap. Both riders had their best laps on the last lap and were both trying and both finished on 9 marks each for the lap thus keeping Michael in the lead at the end.

Its always nice to win the first round especially the weekend before the World Championship starts this coming weekend in Australia.

Alexz Wigg (JSTGG) also had a great podium in 3rd place which is where Alexz should be. He got better every lap which shows his fitness has improved.

Last weekends Jack Wood winner JSTGG rider Dan Thorpe had his best BTC result for along time with a solid 7th place whereas Sam Haslam had a bad 9th place but only five fewer marks would have put him 6th so it was close…

R+T GG rider Jack Price enjoyed his first BTC points in 12th place.

JSTGGUK Youth rider Dan Peace won again! He won the closely fought Youth Class.

Well done to all.

Safe flight to Oz boys

Thanks to Kev for the winning bike
