55 Enjoy Peterborough Sunshine

The second trial of the Peterborough trials club season took place today where 55 riders were treated to a sunny Stibbington quarry. The conditions were dry and dusty which made a few of the tighter sections tricky but we hope everyone enjoyed their day.

The winner of the trial was Adam Brown who dropped only 3 marks from Tom Ablewhite who dropped 14 marks, Adam made the biggest difference in section 6 which had a steep climb after a tight turn where he managed to stay clean all day. The best intermediate rider was Kieren Radley who dropped 33 marks and behind him was best youth A rider Matt Dixon who dropped 38 marks.

The 50/50 route was won by John Holland on his TY Yamaha dropping 21 marks from the best youth rider on the route Tom Spencer who dropped 25 Marks.

On the middle route twin shock class rider Oliver Wareing was the only rider to stay clean all day on his immaculately turned out Fantic, just ahead of Mick Thurman on his majesty who dropped 2 marks. The best over 40 class rider was Pete Ablewhite on 6 marks dropped with fellow over 40 rider Paul Davies right behind on 7 marks. The other class winners on the middle route were Edward Jones who dropped 17 marks to win the novice class, Gary Shield was best clubman on 19 marks dropped and Tom Bishop was best A newcomer dropping 30 marks on his Beta.

On the White route there was a tie for first with Doug Theobald and Alan Jones both losing 3 marks, it was decided by way of furthest clean that Doug was the winner with Alan Second, there was also a tie decided the same way for third with Bob Wright pipping Jamie smith on 4 marks dropped. The best youth rider was Jorge Halliday on 50 marks with Alfred Alderman next along on 67 marks dropped.

Only one rider was on the conducted route today and that was Archie Turner who dropped 31 marks on his Oset.

Big thanks to everyone who turned out today especially the observers we hope to see you all on the 1st  June for our next trial at Stibbington.
