Classic Closing Dates Are Fast Approaching

lancs countyClosing dates for the receipt of entries to two classic trials is rapidly approaching, so here's a timely reminder to get those entries in and avoid missing two excellent events.

The first is Lancs County's Angela Redford trial which is round 5 of the Normandale sponsored ACU Classic Trials Championship series which will take place on SATURDAY August 2 at Brookhouse Brickworks near Lancaster. This excellent trial runs over a closed course of two laps of a 20 section course at this venue which has been in continuous trials use for over 60 years.

Reached from junction 34 of the M6 at Lancaster, the land is now a wind farm which provides excellent parking on hard gravel roads with the course in deep gullies with very sensible traditional style sections laid out for this classic trial.

Open to Twinshocks, air-cooled monoshocks, pre 75 British bikes and veterans over 40,50 and 60, the single route sections are suitable for all. Entries close on July 28.

The second classic trial is Cumbria Classic's Nostalgia Trial just two weeks later on SATURDAY August 16 at Holme Farm, Middleton near Sedbergh. Last year's trial proved to be a superb event over the same format as Lancs County, that's a two lap course of 20 sections and is open to Twinshocks and Pre 65 bikes of all classes. It should be noted here that riders aged 35 years and under will be entered into the Twinshock class no matter what machine they ride. Once again this will be a single route trial suitable for all machines. Entries close on August 1.

Now, to make life easier for all riders, the secretary for both events is Mike Rapley, 3 New Acres, Carnforth, Lancs, so you can send entries for both events in the one envelope!
