Gas Gas At Addingham Brit Champ Round

Ztc 4816Michael BrownLast Sunday was the third round of the 2014 British Trials Championship organised by the Yeadon Guiseley DMC Ltd. at the infamous Addingham Moorside venue. Weather was fine, just a small shower on the second lap which soon passed. The event was won by James Dabill / Beta so congrats to them.

No.1 JSTGGUK rider Michael Brown was leading the event until the last lap when he had a bad ‘five’ on section five which we knew straight away the win was gone. Maybe a lack of concentration took Michael ‘offline’ on the relatively easier part of the section and a five was had. Micheal was gutted to be second and only losing 6 marks.

JSTGGUK rider Alexz Wigg made the podium in third which was good to see and deserved. Alexz is now 3rd in the Championship closely followed by Jack Sheppard.

R+T GG rider Jack Price had his best BTC result of the year in 8th place with a great last lap of only three marks. Looks like Jack is getting there now with three good rides on the bounce now. 6th day two WTC Penrith and podium in last weekends WTC France.

JSTGGUK rider Sam Haslam had a bad day in 10th. Sam had some good rides but waaay too many fives because of lack of time on the bike due to helping his Team mate Michael Brown at WTC. I can imagine Sam is very frustrated with this situation…

JSTGGUK rider Dan Thorpe was 17th and Jack Stones 26th.

JSTGGUK Youth Rider Dan Peace was 3rd in the Youth Class just one mark behind Tom Hooper in 3rd. A bad second lap spoilt Dans day.

Thanks to Kev for prepping Michaels bike

PS, CONGRATS to Jack Peace on winning the Scarborough Two Day Trial overall !
