Ladies Season Draws To a Close

Emma Bristow At 2014 British Ladies Championship Round 3 - Scarborough 2Emma BristowThe 2014 Luscombe Suzuki Leeds ACU Ladies and Girls Trials Championship comes to a climax this coming Sunday morning on the rugged unforgiving rocky craggs of Fremington Edge where five out of the eight classes have yet to be resolved.  Isle of Man police officer Saskia Baxter has sealed the Ladies Inter class leaving Katy Bullock and Charly Kimber to dispute the rostrum places.  Louise Alford heads the A Class from Bristol’s Victoria Payne and Beth Waite with North Berks talented Millie Ray poised to pounce if either challenger falters.

The B Class is also hot with Hook Wood girl Hannah Moore on one hundred points but Megan Savage, a member of a distinquished south Yorkshire trialling family is capable of bridging the six point gap to catch up. The ever determined Alice Minta will not settle for third place either.

Consett’s Olivia Pearson requires a good result to take the Girls Inter class from Fran Tattersall whilst the C Class contains Amy Turpin and Spen Valley contender Libby Cook but only eleven points split the girls and there is a drop score to take into account.

That leaves the non-championshp Ladies where any one of four contenders could win the day. Nice to see Berkshire girl Leah Robinson back in action in the Yorkshire Dales on Sunday. finally, in the main Championship class, will Emma Bristow lift the title ? The Louth MRS Sherco teamster has just had a taste of Swaledale at the Reeth Three Day Trial. Becky Cook will test the blonde Lincolnshire lady on Sunday as will Scottish star Bronwyn Palmer and Chloe Richardson. The Skeeby teenager has really taken to her 300 Beta, and uses all the power, to the full. The Richmond club stage this championship finale on Sunday and move across the valley to Cogden Hall for the Youth C and D finale.
