Middlesbrough DMC- 2 Day Charity trial

middlesborough and districtIn aid of the Great North Air Ambulance, final preparations for Middlesbrough's popular two day trial are under way for the event running on 6/7 September.

The event situated at the very picturesque head of Fryupdale, starting from Woodehead farm (YO21 2AR) which is ran by Mark Smith, who's cousin, Nikita Smith (also a Fryup local) & was recently rescued by the GNAA following a serious road traffic accident and thankfully now on the road to recovery. This just demonstrates how important the air ambulance service is to both the trials and rural communities.

The club have put in a huge amount of work into this years event, especially following the deluge on the eve of 2013's event when many of the sections were simply washed away.

Probably the best venue in the East Yorkshire Centre with regards to variety, add in the fact that it can only be used once a year, its an event not to miss. Sections are perfect from the most average of clubman right up to testing the very best of the expert riders - rocky outcrops & climbs, rocky streams and excellent woodland are all on offer.

The trial is an open event, so everyone is welcome - classes for Expert / Inters / Clubman A&B / Youth ABC / Conducted course for youth beginners. Flagged over seperate three routes which allows inters to ride 50/50.

Free camping & toilets at the start (No water) - it is intended to have catering on site both days (TBC)

A Great North Air Ambulance vlounteer will be attending both days before the start to make a collection, along with the club donating part of everyones entry.

Saturday start is 2pm & Sunday 11am - Entries close at start - single day entries accepted.

Please support this great cause.
