Brand New Venue For Lancs County

lancs countyThere's a brand new venue for the next trial from Lancs County MCC on Sunday, September 7 when the club make use of the land at Sykes Farm, Dunsop Bridge, courtesy of Steve Robinson and his family.

The farm is situated just a couple of miles the Lancaster side from Dunsop Bridge in the Trough of Bowland where Nick Shield is planning either a four lap 10 section course or a three lap 12 section course depending upon the likely weather on the day which will control where the parking will be.

Following the successful Good Friday trial when the club used just two routes, a normal clubman course and a slightly easier clubman route, the same format will be used again. These days there's insufficient hard course riders to make it viable setting out a hard route, hence the two clubman versions for this trial.

Start time will be 10.30am and entries will be taken at the start. This is a quite spectacular venue and whilst the club will be treading steadily for this first venture at a new venue, it really is worthwhile making this trial a priority as the autumn/winter trialing season gets under way.

Catering will of course be available from Harlequin Caterers.
