British Youth A and B Final Round

mansfield maunToday saw the final round of the British youth A&B Championship hosted by Mansfield Maun MCC at Bracken Rocks. Despite having the A Championship in the bag, Dan Peace Gas Gas wasn't relaxing and clocked up his sixth win of the season by a thirty one mark margin over Thomas Minta - Sherco with Tom Hooper, back from the injury he sustained at the previous round in Scotland completing the podium line-up. By our reckoning (and we have been known to be wrong on these calculations before!) Minta has taken second place in the Championship by a single point. Hooper had four second place results (4x17=68) and two third place results (2x15=30). He drops the zero score from Scotland where he retired, putting him on a total of 98. Minta had four third place results (4x15=60), one win (20) and two third place finishes (2x17=34) giving a total of 114. Dropping one of his third place results puts him on 99.

In the B Class Toby Martyn stormed to his fourth victory of the season, dropping just eight marks to the thirty six scored by second placed, Sam Yeomans to assure himself of the B Class Championship. Again, doing the sums Martyn has has four wins (4x20=80) plus one second place (17) and two third place finishes (2x15=30) giving a total of 127. Dropping one of his third place results puts him on a season final score of 112. Yeomans has had three wins (3x20=60), one second place (17) two third place finishes (2x15=30) and a sixth place we're sure he'll want to forget! (10). This gives a total of 127. Dropping the sixth place finish puts him on a season total of 107. Confused? We are too... Full results attached.
