West Glos & Dean Forest Training Day

west glos and deanWest Glos & Dean Forest Motorcycle Club have booked 22 November for a Training Day. This will tie in with the Centre's Youth Development Squad and extend the benefits they have received out to us adults and young non-squad members too. If you've felt like you need some help or would like to polish your existing skills then sign up. You do not need to have an ACU trials licence to ride or even be a member of the club. (we can help you apply for a licence when you realise this is a great sport and fun for everyone at all ages and you want to ride proper trials events.)

The current plan is to have 2 or 3 official ACU coaches which allows us to have up to 30 riders max. Thanks to support from the Bendall family we will use their Aylburton venue. Our initial Coaches are Simon Welch and Ben Bishop (Hopefully Colin Crease too.). Simon needs no introduction as he has headed up the YDS for the last few years and proved his ability by winning our Centre championship at least 9 times. Ben is our newest recruit to coaching and has a number of class wins at our Centre's trials but also used his core Trials skills to ride Enduro events, winning the superb Powys Enduro twice, amongst others.

Places will be limited so book your place as soon as possible by emailing us on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or text to our club phone (07583 010 794 answerphone/text only)with  your name contact details and age if under 18, and if adult which route you would normally ride eg sports/clubman, and you will be added to our entry List. Paperwork and payment (£20) will be done on the day as long as you are on our entry List before the day. Your bike needs to be in good working order with a lanyard if a youth rider (for combustion machines) or an electric trials bike. You need appropriate clothing, boots and helmet and including gloves and covered arms for youth riders. The venue will be signed from the A48 at Aylburton. Training starts at 10:00am with sessions through to about 3:00pm. There will be a lunch break so bring some sandwiches etc. If you have any questions email or leave a message and one of us or our coaches will get back to you.
