Pre-65 riders wanting some last-minute practice before next week’s Scottish should look no further than Lee Quarry in Bacup on Sunday. It’s the venue for round four of Red Rose Classic MCC’s club championship and provides the perfect test for man and machine.
The Lancashire-based club are expecting another good entry, with all Pre-65 and drum-braked Twinshocks welcome. Red Rose have nine members competing on the Pre-65 Scottish, including former world champion Yrjo Vesterinen. He’s joined by Neil Buckley, Ben Butterworth, Jack Butterworth, Philip Clarkson, Owen Hardisty, John Maxfield, Simon Sharp, Andrew Sharp. Chris Gascoigne is also on the reserve list.
