Banovallum MCC held the first trial of 2016 at South Thoresby Quarry with a changed format to the championship this year. It was Darren Cox who took the win on the hard route beating Paul Marwood into 2nd place 50 to 59 marks lost.
On the middle route it was Luke Hough-Whelpton on top of the list losing 7 marks to Peter Boast and Steve Marwood on 8.
The new 50/50 route went down well with riders doing 4 white route and 4 middle route sections with a 3way tie between Stuart Wood, Martin Cocks and John Hamblin all riding clean.
On the easy white route it was also a tie between Rob Croarkin, Dave Hedison, Roy Clayton and Shane Payne all riding clean.
A bit thanks to the course plotters and officials for setting up the trial and also to the observers for their continued support watching for those little mistakes that we all make.
