A forecast of high winds and rain didn’t deter the 49 riders who tackled either the main courses or the kids conducted routes. As it turned out all the sections on the leeward side of the hill were well protected from the wind and there were just a few light showers on the day. However the damp conditions did make the sections increasingly slippery and those with the magic ability to find grip where others slithered were to be rewarded today. As always a big thank you to land owner Dave Pickles and of course all the observers, helpers and officials without whom none of this would be possible.
