Peterborough Harry Bone Trial

peterborough tcThe first trial of the Peterborough trials club season took place today at Stibbington quarry, where 43 riders were met with greasy conditions due to the wet weather during the week, but as the sun came out the open sections soon dried and became easier for the last couple of laps.

The winner of the trial on 2 marks dropped was Expert rider Tom Ablewhite riding a Sherco, with fellow local Expert Adam Brown second on 12 marks dropped. The best Intermediate rider was Beta mounted Matt Dixon who dropped 19 marks. The youth riders on the route were A class Tom spencer who dropped 57 marks and youth B rider Adam Juffs who dropped 67 marks.

On the 50/50 route Martin bone came out top dropping 38 marks from Stewart Dickinson and Ryan Shield was next along in third.

On the middle route Oliver Wareing on his Fantic started the season strongly dropping 8 marks with his brother Paul also on a Fantic next along dropping 23 marks. The best over 40 was Pete Ablewhite who dropped 24 marks, one place ahead of the best clubman Shane Harvey who dropped 32 marks. The best novice was Robin Davis and best youth C was Alfred Alderman.

The white route was tackled by 13 adult riders with Natalie Harris who dropped 9 marks coming out top from John Bull on an immaculately turned out Dot dropping 12 marks.

We had four conducted riders today on Osets with Jake and Anthony carrying on from where they left off last year and new riders Christian and Josh enjoying their first trial.

Big thanks to everyone who turned out today especially the observers we hope to see you all on the 17th  April for our next trial at Stibbington.
