Stroud Valley Minchinhampton Trial

A minutes silence was observed at the start to pay our respects to the passing of Martin Lampkin. He was a role model and idol to many of us. Our sympathies are extended to his family at this very sad time.

A separate course for the youth C,D&E classes was laid out by Simon Welch and 6 riders completed 4 laps the 6 sections. Well done to them all.

Overall trial winner was Rob Faulkner, whose impeccable consistency resulted in the only clean sheet of the day. He beat Tim Wheeler into second place.

An impressive loss of only 6 by Alan Taylor on his cub took him to the top of the pre 65 table with former center champion Nick Draper heading the twinshocks on 9 marks lost.

Stroud Valley stalwart Nigel Tomkins lost 6 to claim best over 60 while Ryan Tomkins from Oxford,no relation I'm told, was best novice.

The results will count towards the newly instigated Western Centre Youth C, D & E, pre65, twinshock and over 60 championship.

A big thank you to all our observers and helpers who made the event possible, and to Keith Broadstock for allowing us to use this great venue.
