Michael Brown Wins Lakes Two Day Trial

michael brown lakes two day trialIt's the traditional prequel to the Scott Trial, used by many to get bike time and practice ahead of next weekend's tough event and this weekend once again saw Lakes MTA host their popular Lakes Two-Day Trial around the small Cumbrian town of Broughton-in-Furness.

Day one saw last year's winner, Iwan Roberts - Beta back on top of the standings by a narrow, single mark margin over Richard Sadler - Beta with Michael Brown - Gas Gas in third place, a further two marks adrift. Despite rain making conditions very slippery on the second day of competition, the day was to belong to Brown, dropping just a single dab over the forty observed sections to give him victory by two marks over Roberts with Sadler, unable to match his first day perfomance, having to settle for third place.

On the popular Clubman course,  Darren Wasley - Gas Gas took top honours ahead of veteran Harold Crawford - Gas Gas who prevailed in a most cleans tie break for second place over Phil Houghton - Gas Gas.
