Sunday's Scottish National Trial at Lochlane luckily escaped the snow but our hardy riders still had to put up with a biting wind! A very big thank you to our group of observers who did their job brilliantly, covering all 12 sections, putting up with the cold without complaint! Where would we be without them! The overall route changed direction this year with a completely new section at 8. Sections 3 and 4 with their new bigger boulders, put there by Gordon and his JCB, gave everyone fresh challenge. Sections 5 and 6 were also revamped, this time with his digger, the set-up team putting in the final touches making it a bit like riding on marbles! Riders comments were all good, everyone enjoying their day and their pies - a new selection, even macaroni ! - supplied by Gourlay Catering.
Thanks to all those who helped set up the trial, the observers, the landowners and all who made our great day possible. Looking forward now to Glasscorrie Trial on 26th March.
