Cumberland County MCC Northern Classic Experts Trial

cumberland countyPreparations are well in hand for the first Northern Classic Experts Trial being held at Newcastleton on 13th August. For the past two years this has been the venue for an extremely popular KIA Twinshock Championship round and so, knowing the demand was there, the Cumberland County MCC have organised this event.

Aircooled Mono, Historic Spanish, Twinshock and Pre’72 Britshock classes are available on both the Experts and Clubman’s route, with Lloyd BMW kindly providing trophies for the best overall Expert and Clubman.

We have secured some new land adjacent to the land used previously, and it is anticipated that the route will be one lap of 40 sections around 15 miles (all off road) in length. It is planned to have the lap as a figure of 8 in order that fuel may be taken on for the second half of the trial.

In addition to Sunday’s trial, there will be a charity trial on the Saturday afternoon and live music at the Grapes on the night. There is no camping available at the start, but free camping will be available in Newcastleton itself.
There have already been 30+ advance entries for Sunday’s trial for which there is no entry on the day. Saturday’s trial may be entered on the day.
