The opening round of the Huddersfield Falcons MCC club championship is to take place this Sunday at the tried and tested Horn Hill quarry close to New Mill, Holmfirth.
There will be classes for experts, novices, intermediates, novice, beginners, t/shock, o40’s, Pre 65 and youth ABC. As always there will be 3 courses to choose from:-
Easy Route (yellow flags):-
Suitable for a rider with some experience and after a challenge, good twinshock and Pre 65 riders,
50/50 Route (The harder of the easy route section and the easier of the hard route sections):-
Suitable for good clubman, riders wanting a bit more experience before moving up to the hard route or riders that have had enough of the hard route but still want a bit of challenge.
Hard route (red and blue flags):- Suitable for novice, intermediates, experts and good youth riders.
A lot of discussion went on at the club AGM over observation rules. There were arguments for both stop allowed and no stop and a decision could not be reached, but a compromise was made. No stop style sections with stop allowed rules. This way the sections can be ridden flowing or if you fancy yourself as the next Toni Bou you can show off your trick riding skills. This will hopefully suit everyone as well as making life easier for observers.
While on the subject of observers the club always welcomes new volunteers and always rewards them for the time with a £10 payment.
Entry available on the day and if you haven’t already paid, club membership will be
due.
