uncle_dave
Just bought an Airoh Rock helmet, not the cheapest, but I wanted to get a decent one, carbon Kevlar shell etc. It does not have an ACU gold sticker. Did a bit of surfing, and one online shop is saying it has silver approval Will I be able to use it in competitive events? Apologies, probably a common question, but couldn't get the search feature to work on here. Thanks in advance Uncle Dave
uncle_dave
I think I have found my own answer; "HELMET STAMPS Helmets are examined at scrutineering in order to assess wear and tear, general deterioration and to ensure that an ACU Approval Stamp is displayed. The only stamp eligible for competition use, except trials is displayed below." Cue picures of Gold and Silver stamps So looks like you do not need an ACU stamp for trials. john collins
Hi Uncle Dave I confirm for you that a Gold or Silver ACU stamp is not a requirement for a trials helmet
