My lad is almost 10 and is on the Rev 50, which is perfectly sized for him. I think you would be better off on the Mini-Trial rev 'n' go 50 unless she's a very tall 7 year old...
-
Had a look at the ticket situation today after reading the 'Lampkin's Last Stand' article on the front page. My lad is desperate to see him ride, as he missed him in Scotland due to the ankle injury and again at the Scott.
I was surprised to see that ticket sales were not going through Jake Millers G2F site, is that normal these days? Anyway, I decided not to bother as all the best seats had been taken and Sheffield can be lousy viewing from some seats...

Cue the "I bet you look a right t**t" comments

It's the small wheel version so 19" front and 17" rear
Not looking to sell it to be honest but everything has a price
-
I've just put some Scott vids on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=kinellxx&aq=f (they all start with "IMG") They're straight off my phone so there hasn't been any editing or tidying up...

Steve Saunders has one on the 19th of November. Gloucestershire might be a bit far for you but I've been on a few of Steve's schools and reckon it will be worth the travelling Steve Saunders Trials School
Jim Lampkin, Dan Clarke, Graham Jarvis etc. have done them in the past but I'm not sure if they still do them to be honest. I think Jim has advertised the odd bike on TC in the past so he might spot this.
The Dougie Day will have been and gone by now I think, once a year jobby...

Saw him riding back (sideways) with his rear tyre off the rim...
-
That's got to be the winner!
-
Thanks for that superb slice of nostalgia, Mercs and Cortinas mixing it up in the car park at the fastest growing sport on two wheels. Lampkin wins on only 72 points lost!
-
Judging by the looks he gives me sometimes, I reckon he's already working it out...
-
Watched it earlier with my 9yr old lad. Every time the name of the Group appeared on screen he'd say "We went to that one didn't we Dad?"
"Erm, no not that one son"
When a riders name popped up he'd say "We saw him ride didn't we Dad? He was ok I suppose."
Other questions were along the lines of:
"Did you ever ride that one?"
"I bet you cleaned that one didnt' you? Actually, I bet you fived it!"
"Why does it look sunny?"
"Can we go again next year Dad?"
Bless him, I hope he calms down before next week or he'll drive me nuts at the Scott

Cheers John, postie dropped them in today
-
They could carry on until they start dropping points:
Toughen up/extend sections
Ride certain ones in reverse
Shorten the time limit per section
If that doesn't work:
Let them change something on another riders bike
Then make them swap bikes with each other
Award points for style/tricks

Have a look at:
http://www.betatrialuk.com/content/blogcategory/38/91/
Ryan's bike is the old "Rev 50" but Beta don't make this engine size any more. The "Mini Auto" bike will be too small for a 9 year old I think.
The "Evo 80 Junior" is the same size as our bike (or near enough) but the "Evo 80" has full sized wheels so they are the same as an adults bike. This makes the bike stand almost as tall as a full sized bike...
-
My lad is 9 and at 4' 3" isn't tall for his age.
He's on an '06 Rev 50 which is the perfect sized bike for him, I'm looking out for an 80cc Junior bike but they are almost impossible to get hold of...
Hope that helps?
PS.
You would both be better off on Beta's

I remember getting the first one then ordering the following years (2008?) DVD before realising that I hadn't even watched the first one! Maybe I'm just missing 2009 and 2010...
-
How many years have you been doing this John? I've got at least one of the CD's but not sure what year it is, wouldn't mind a back order if I've missed any...

-
I think the point he's making is that he agrees with it, even if it's just the usual advertising blurb from a manufacturer?
-
Correct, you scoffed all the Mars bars too
-
If I remember rightly, there will be fuel trailers/vans parked on the start field, stick a can on each. Put your number on each can and try to make them stand out from the crowd if you can. Pretty pink ribbon?
Leave the pouring spouts off the cans, I once brought back 6 cans, all minus the spouts

Don't get p****d or have a curry the night before
