  1. Hi all, I must apologize, I have only just noticed this section as I have been so busy, reading all the brilliant info in the bike specific section/ trying to get my new purchase working as it should. Anyway nearly there now. I am a total beginner from the Channel Islands with a Beta rev3 250 "04 Regards Rex.
  2. Hi Guys, I have just replaced the rear brake lever on my '04 rev 3. The brake works very well, just that the lever seems to bind against the frame. If the bolt is left loose enough for the lever to spring back to where its ment to be there is too much "slop" and it can move over against the chain. If done up tight then it does not move freely, it binds against the frame. Is there a spacer that i am missing?, or should the bearing be sticking out more on one side than the other? The new lever had to be "tweaked" so as to let the chain move freely past it! I think the mounting lug on the frame is slightly bent, which obviously wont be helping the situation. Any help/ ideas much appreciated
  3. Hi guys, I have just done my headstock bearings. I cut the old lower bearing from the shaft very carefully with a grinder. To get the new one on i put the shaft and yoke in the freezer for the night and gently warmed the new one. It went on very easily no knocking or anything straight down to its position. I packed this with grease in place. The new cups go in quite easily by, again some very gentle heat onto the place they need to go then carefully tapping them in with a piece of wood to protect them from the hammer. The wood also helps to keep them square as they slide in. Probably not the right way but it has worked for me. Hope this helps.
