  1. http://www.maplin.co.uk/9v-switched-battery-box-36603 take it to Andy to do it will take less than 1/2hr
  2. Jeff its simple, the 2 wires coming out the black box going to the ECU 1 red 1 black, the battery box has 1 red 1 black put black to black and red to red as simple as that.
  3. Don't think Ossa are still 100% with the LSS, the system I'm trying out gives you the 9v you need to power up the ECU only and the capacitor is kept, the other systems use 12v and powers up the fuel pump which when doing so dumps un-needed fuel into the cylinder and also gets rid of the capacitor, when the battery pack I'm using goes flat the bike will still start as its still a std wiring system and you just have to buy another £2 9v battery they reckon I should get around a 1000 starts from a battery.
  4. There is another way forward with this issue ! I fitted a 9v battery box with on off switch from Maplins directly into the ECU. For starting just click the switch to on then 1 big kick and away she goes then switch off the battery. Cost less than a fiver. I fitted the box using velcro to the back of the number board and for now I have just Scotch Locked the wiring.

I'll take you up on that next time I ride up Weardale way
  6. Good new in deed, if you don't want mind me asking how much was it ? I'm the same as you I have no problem starting it till I get tired and I have a tough 3 day trial next month and could do with it been on the bike, anything to save the old mans energy.
  7. You would never over bike a child so why over bike your father ? get him a bike he can start for gods sake.
  8. Where did you get it from ? and if you don't mind me asking how much does it cost ?
  9. Does not matter if its a 2 stroke, 4 stroke, fuel injected or carbed all engines need a good clear out every now and then, especially 2 strokes Taff glad he's not a Geordie
  10. Great pictures again Neil any chance of a copy of number 22 please ( File Name: _MG_0032.jpg ) taff.davies@ntlworld.com would have said hello today but for once I managed to ride past with my feet up
  11. managed my first off the bike left footed kick today Went practicing at Harwood Dale and had it all to myself the only thing I saw was a deer
  12. My throttle sensor was set for map 13 first then the map was loaded and the bike ran fine at a 1600rpm tickover but the dealer dropped it to 1400 rpm as he said thats what Ossa recommend, so I think you can move your tickover.
  13. Just heard back from the UK importer and he said there are no LSS systems here as yet but if they become available he'll ask Ossa to take them to the Scottish with them, I'm up there as well so I'll have a good chat with him about it.
  14. I can see your problem with some of the pictures all the East Yorkshire crew have come out crystal clear by god they are ugly buggers
  15. What are the differences between the 2 maps ? soft or banzi ? I'm on map 13 and when I got it loaded the dealer said he thought there was 2 maps to it so do I need just a switch now to use them ? My bike starts on 4-5 kicks cold and 1st kick even in gear when hot, but the longer and harder the trial the more tired I get and the harder it is to get going especially if you stuck on tricky terrain when you can't get up onto the pegs. I've got a ride in the Reeth 3 day this year and I'll be blowing out my a*** by day 3 so I'm deperate for this LSS system.
  16. Ossa should supply the software to every dealer from day 1 end of story. Great bike spoilt by hard starting I've emailed the UK importer twice now asking for info on the LSS and got no reply as yet. I disagree with Digga my Ossa is much smoother and user friendly than my 2010 Gasser.
  17. Great pictures yet again any chance I could have a copy of 0223 please. taff.davies@ntlworld.com
  18. In lots of water sections and then there is all the cleaning using chemicals and power washers.
  19. The rear has 2 different bearings, the 6004 is thicker but be carefull the thin 6905 bearing was also in a thin bush which came out as I drifted the bearing out, make sure you dont throw the bush away with the old bearing and refit the bush before you fit the new bearing. The front wheel bearing change is really easy, knock the inner sleeve between the bearings down then drift the bearings out, to refit I think it's a 32mm socket is the right diameter too knock the bearings in with. Some people flick the bearing covers out and repack the bearing with grease I've tried this but the bearings never lasted any longer so I don't think its worth the hassle. Front bearings can be changed easily within 1/2. Hope this helps. Thinking about it I reckon my rear hub was a Friday afternoon one ! it has a sleeve because if was machined over size and has had a repair done on it !
  20. Just changed my oil to the recommended GRO 75W, approx 300ml fills it to the top of the sight class. You will always get less out than you put in due to oil cling etc.
  21. you will need 3 x 6905 2rs and 1 x 6004 2rs I get mine from here http://www.akbearing...rWipeBasket=yes you can get std bearings delivered for around a
  22. The dealer who loaded map 13 for me told me to file 2 notches into the gear lever just by the knuckle (like gas gas have) and this creates a week spot to break at and saves the gear box, also told me to shorten the fuel tank breather to about 6" and to use the tubing you cut off to lengthen the gear box breather and route it up over not downwards, also drill a 3mm hole in the bottom of your fly wheel cover to allow water to escape. Never short the fan out as it will blow the ECU, if you want the fan on all the time just disconnect the connector. Map 13 has anti flood programmed into it, if you flood the bike hold the throttle open over a ¼ of a turn and the ECU will knock off the fuel pump to allow you to keep kicking without further fuel entering the cylinder.
  23. I went to Pennine Trialsport on Thursday and he reset my throttle sensor and remapped it.
