    Chase Ty 220

Its got a chain on it!! very nice looking bike. TLTEL
  2. Good pics, Well jealous , our trial was cancelled again today because of flooding. TLTEL
  3. indestructible plastics, would be a good start, it must be possible to make rear mudguards that don't break, And if they do break they don't need to cost around £100 to replace. TLTEL
  4. The last one would make me think twice before riding it, but oh to see some dust would be magical, our Trial this weekend has been cancelled again because of flooded access to the land. Nice pics. TLTEL
  5. hey. I actually don't mind the music as you can still the bike doing its stuff. TLTEL (51)
  6. My Mistake, obviously not paying attention.... But, Are you sure the problem isn't at the other end, as in, is the piston in the master cylinder moving freely and is there free play on the push rod. If the piston isn't going all the way back then fluid wont return and brake will stick. TLTEL

    Raw Gear

I have a Raw sports top that I bought when I first started about 5 years ago, it is still in great condition and the colour hasn't faded, it also has built in pads on the elbows and shoulders, I will buy another when I need to. I have always used moto x trousers, but last year I bought some WULF Sport Trials Pants and they seem really well made. In the same period I have bought several different tops and mx pants for my son and they are not as good quality. TLTEL
  8. I would say probably just a loose nut that caused it to shear. Something to keep a check on. Good luck with the bike. TLTEL
  9. You could try a new, stronger spring. I have not heard of a Hebo master cylinder. You can change it for an AJP one from about the same age bike. Just make sure the bolt centres are the same and when you fit it make sure you still have free play on the push rod. Sure SPLATSHOP list them and it is probably the same as the Sherco one anyway. 8 weeks is way too long, 8 days is too long! TLTEL
  10. That was good. actually liked the music too. the hills always look flat on film. TLTEL
  11. Hi you do need to remove the mixture screw to clean carb properly, most likely you have just moved some dirt around. the screw will need to be set to best position when engine is warmed up. Don't get hung up on 3 turns out, adjust it to what is best for your bike. TLTEL
  12. sounds like you just need to adjust the fuel and idle screws. If you have cleaned the carb then presumably you took all screws out.. new air filter (oiled ?) usually means adjusting carb. TLTEL
  13. Well done! It's the big nut holding the bars that I always have trouble with. TLTEL
  14. When a coarse is set out for a trial most of the branches and twigs are cut back to prevent people getting hit in the face. Its only when you go off coarse that it can become a problem. Oh, it does get easier with practice. TLTEL

    Hello

You must be riding yours backwards then!!! TLTEL
  16. looks like its been ridden in sea water, or just maybe kept out side. TLTEL
  17. Big bang, Probably sheered the woodruff key on flywheel. If it went bang because of too much fuel it can make the engine fire backwards while the flywheel momentum is going forwards and the key gets sheered. TLTEL
  18. It doesnt matter if they are known to come loose, they can come loose. I would be surprised if there is not a gasket in the base joint, Just go over all the bolts, nuts etc and check them, dont force them too tight but if some thing turns easily, chances are thats where your problem is. It could be crank seals if your bike has had a hard life, but more likely I think that it is a joint somwhere. Check carb joint too. TLTEL
  19. Hi, I have a TL and have owned it for about 35 years, it is a capable bike and I wouldnt want to part with it. I also have a 95 GAS GAS and a TLR200. Its the Gas gas which I ride regularly, mainly because its easier and more fun, brakes are brilliant (as apposed to drums). It really depends on what type of trials you see yourself riding, I would take a look at the mont, probably a better buy to be honest!! TLTEL
  20. Party pooper alert!! Some good riding there and a great spot, no axle deep mud to lug through. But a lot of unesarsary bouncing, especially the guy that overshoots the rock then bounces backwards to line himself up. FIVE!! Maybe it's my age but I find it a bit irratating. TLTEL
  21. Went to a trial today, extremely muddy 5 mile loop with three laps, had a great ride but won't be troubling the top of the score sheet. Betsie was fine, no problem with over heating this week. TLTEL
  22. Well, tonight after work, got the gasser out, jet washed it, stripped out the water pump and removed the two external hoses. Rebuilt pump, new seals and bearings, fitted new kickstart shaft seal as the cover was off. new hoses and clamps (great find on ebay as gas gas don't make them any more for the JTR models) New thermo switch, topped up with fluids and fired her up, then waited patiently for the fan to kick in. No leaks so I can go ride on Sunday if they don't cancel because of the Rain. All this because the old girl (Betsie as she has been named by someone at my club) boiled up in the swamp like mud we were trialing in last Sunday. TLTEL

    Honda Seeley Tl200

Hi Try in motion for the parts, the Clymer manual is available for the TLR but it does cover the XR mostly. TLTEL
  24. I would change the seal, its and easy job, I did one the other night it took about half an hour. It wasn't on a pro though. top tip.. as I didn't want to take flywheel off before ordering seal, I found one on a website, blew up the image and got the seal number. Then ordered a Viton seal from simply bearings at a third of the price. Simples! Top tip 2. before removing old seal I wanted to check number but couldn't read it even with my glasses on. So took photo with smart phone blew up image, The numbers were amazingly clear. Hope this helps. TLTEL
