[Keep the score with your fingers, my first time, I started 'forgettng' after 30 riders or so...
( getting old, I guess )

Well maybe...
Probably for the SSDT to give a taste what it can be like...
For trials in general and specially for someone who is not familiar with it, it looks a lot like throwing bikes between rocks in uncomfortable circumstances...
They could have 'showed' a couple more "one's" and "two's" instead of so many fives...

Haha, nice discussion...
And Scania is king of the road, or was it MAN or Volvo...
We had the same in tennis: one day Clijsters was the world no 1, the next day it was Henin. I couldn't tell the difference or who was 'better'...!

In dutch I would say: "ontspanning door inspanning!" Translated that has to be something like: "relaxed by effort", I guess...
Nice weather, nice riding place, good company: what do you need more...
-
I'm also trying...
Last sunday, a guy who should know how to do it (8X Dutch Champion), told me to keep my weight above the pegs (no leaning back) for the first wheely and bent your elbows. So the bar comes up to your chest! Then you can push the wheel down where you want to have it (3/4 to just below top)
Time to practice this tomorrow...
Maybe it can help you guys also

It's the same issue with guys doing wheelies and stoppies on roadbikes...
I think it's quite a bit a-social doing it on a public road, but I'm jealous they have the guts and the technique...

The Honda CBX 1000 (6 cyl) had plastic (or teflon) swingarm 'bearings', that was (one of) his weakest point (Also rubber forks and frame). But that was in the eighties (??)
I guess technologies have improved since then...

Google or 'youtube' on Julien Dupont, he's to good/crazy to be healthy...
Put him on a picknicktable somewhere, on a trialsmotorbike and tell him to come down... Nothing extreme, is it.
-
I was told to try to hop the front wheel, while (slowly) riding up a slope. Not to steep of course!
Still need a lot of practice...

Thanks for the replies, I'll have a look at Halfords

End of august, I'm going to participate in a 'night trial'. As far as I know the last trial in Holland (or Belgium) were you can 'travel' some distance between the non-stops. The third round starts at 22.30hr, so you need to have light on your bike. The non-stops are lighted with 1 or 2 500W lamps(witch creates a lot of 'shadows') but in the fields in between, you have to do it yourself.
Since my REV 4T has only two firefly's in what they call a headlamp, I was thinking about putting some extra lighting on.
So the next questions is: how much power can be delivered by the lighting coil/regulator?
Eventually, I can look for the powerled-type kind of lamps, but those are still quite expensive. Did someone already replaced the 20W headlight to a 50W bulb, without melting down some components?
Thanks for the comments/advise/info...

If not mechanically skilled, the best advise I can give is: take to someone who is...
there are some things that can be messed up on a carburetor, and probably some adjustments have to be done after the cleaning. If you now somebody who can do it for you and give some explanation on what he is doing and what to take care for, you can do it yourself next time

Looks like something like a bearing - cage (if that's the english word for it)...
to keep the rollers in the bearing at the same distance of each other...
-
Hmmmm....
I understand you have a 'transportation' problem...
But trialbike + modification + insurance + (?)
And in a couple of months a car + ....
All that for 1250
I think you have another problem!
For the trialsbike we can give you a lot of advise. For the other things there are 2 people who can be really helpfull.
But probably I didn't listen to my parents neither, when I was your age
(maybe thi wasn't what you liked to hear/ only wanted to be direct, not sarcastic or offensive)

Once, I tried to sell a couple motorcycle tyres, in the ad I wrote: 'black, round with a big hole in the middle'. Nobody ever showed up...
-
"did" my clutch earlier this week. (just wanted to see the banana...)
It feels a bit 'strange' now, but also seems a lot more 'controlable'. Let's see what the difference will be, this weekend...
thanks Dan!!!

At school (long time ago), the teacher told me to say: "how do you do", when you meet English people...
already spend some time around reading (I tought, that's a "lurker" in English, isn't it?)
I believe the community here is quiet international, but now Andy can add a number in the Belgian departement.
Started with trials +- a year ago, and sowly the light is getting brighter
Since a couple of months I own a Beta 4T, so the 'BETA' topic has my special attention.
See (read) you around...
