  1. Check out bjracing.com they have them for $24.95
  2. Great!!! Thats what we wanted, someone who could give the old girl a loving home. I know how much I liked her when I was riding. I gave her to my son after I stopped riding but with him in the Army he could never quite get it together to ride much. It got set aside and you know the rest of the story. Look forward to a nice visit this summer. John
  3. Just read this great blog!! Jay after seeing your bike in person when we were in Washington last fall its nice to be able read of all the work it took to get to the final stage. Did you ever get the Aprila going? Look forward to maybe getting in touch with you this summer when we visit our son in Yelm. Oh, by the way I found that TY I asked you about. John Holbrook
  4. Thanks, will give them a look.
  5. That would be the best choice. They should be available at most bicycle shops I would think.
  6. Looks like I am going to have to lace up a 21 or 19 to get tyres for it. I think a 19 would be a better choice.

    Ty80 Whitehawk

I have a 81 WhiteHawk TY80 conversion. It came with a 20 inch frt tyre. Have not been able to find one in the US. Anyone know were I mite find one?
  10. Yes it was the standard frt tyre on the WhiteHawk TY80. I got the rim and spokes with the kit and laced it up to the stock TY80 frt hub. This is realy a great bike for the kids. My son compted on the stock TY, and out grew it so when I found the WhiteHawks it was perfect upgrade. My grand daughter is now riding it. It took me srveral visits with Mr. Whitlock to convence him to sell me a kit, at the time he was doing all of the conversions and selling a complete bike. But since I was bring it to the states he relented. Its most likely the only one in the US.
  11. After a 15 year absence I have decided to dust off my TY175 and try some vintage events. At 64 I hope I can still geterdone! I also have a 82 WhiteHawk TY80 conversion that I brought back to the states after a tour in the UK with the USAF. I was fortunate to be able to purchase it as a Kit and put it together one I got home. The WhiteHawk has a 20X2.75 frt tyre and is in need of replacement, but I have been unable to locate one. If anyone knows of a source I would appricate it.
