  1. Can anyone help ? I`m trying to trace the history of a bike I`ve had for decades. Heres what I know... Its a Suzuki 80. K10 ( modified) Reg`d 06 Jan 1966 in N.Ireland ( 7051OZ ) Frame No. K10175176 Engine No. K10180612 Heres what I think... it was one of three bikes modified by Suzuki for the 1965 IOM ISDT, ridden by Don Barrett, John Harris , or Stan Miller. I could be completely wrong, as I also heard it may have been ridden by a guy called Dave Andrews, who won a bronze award at the same event. I have loads of pics I can e-mail to anyone who thinks they might know something about it or its rider. Any info would be great.
  2. Hi. The one I have is about 1971. Its a 6 speed .I was reading your older posts from last year, and saw a link to flickr. There is a pic of my bike on that. Its in ianashdowns photo stream under other dalesmans. The very last photo caller "Dalesman Trials." It looks a bit better now, and is used regularly. In fact I will be out on it tomorrow morning. So far as I know it is all origional except for the mud guards. The exhaust downpipe has been replaced because it got flattened on a rock one day. The one on it now is the same shape as the origional, but its from a VW Beetle. The seat has been re covered and I just got new levers for it today. I`d love to post a few pics, but its a days work on here.
  3. Thanks. Yes I have loads of pics, but it seems nearly impossable to post them here without a lot of work. Got some nice ones last weekend, riding in a local lead mine in the snow. Do you have much knowledge of the dalesman?
  4. Thanks. It is indeed. Are you familiar with them at all? This one was bought new by my uncle about 1971 ish. Then I got it years ago, and I`ve been using it regularly. I find the gearing a bit high, never seem to get into third. Was wondering if there were any different sprockets available to alter the gearing.
  5. My name is Jon and I live in Belfast. Have had a Daleman for abour 20 years now, and use it regularly. Info is really hard to find on parts etc, and there seem to be a great variation on models.
