  1. It would be far to say that the key thing is to security mark all major parts on the bike.

    Record engine and frame numbers.

    Take good photos of it.

    and the more it stands out the better, different cheap quick mods help with.

    I have even toyed with the idea of data tag like my road bike....

  2. cant imagine why the ACU dont insist that all trials bikes have an acu issued logbook no stolen bike then could ever be ridden in a competition

    I agree but when did you last have your bike looked over by anyone at a trial........what iam saying is hoiw would people react to having spot checks on their bikes....

  3. Would there be an interest in police checking bikes at a trial in an effort to recover stolen property, remember innocent purchasers could not only loose the bike but also the money paid for it.

    second problem is if the bike has never been recorded road-reg then it becomes harder to confirm identification.

    What are peoples thoughts, on this subject.

    i was just wondering what people thought of the gas gas txt 250 2010 model?

    ive just bought one of these but cant seem to find much being said about them?

    also, im going to start entering the comps hopefully and was wondering which ACU licence i need to apply for??

    any help or info appreciated

  5. I have the same bike , i would suggest a slow action throttle it smooths the power out making to better to ride, 2nd gear seams to be much better than 1st as it snatches a lot in that gear, i run a 10-41 gear ration 70-1 mix for fuel and atf gear box oil which its more than happy with.

  6. Hi Guys does anybody know where i can get a manual for a 300 raga rep 2005. I need oil specs , Running specs for oil , fuel mix m Transmission. engine oil specs , plug gaps etcetc etc . Gas Gas Uk doesnt have them can anybody point me in the right direction?

  7. check front end fork seals

    rear shock and linkage for wear

    tyres

    disc for wear

    brakes

    clutch

    chain sprockets

    plastics

    airbox

    exhaust

    listen to it run, check for any rattles top-bottom end check tick over its the noral stuff really remember its a trials bike so will have a few marks etc.

    check foot rest for bad wear might need to be changed all the best Des....

  8. hy just stripped my forks and fully cleaned the only thing im struggling with is the bronze bushing is there any tips on how to nock that back down as i dont have a seal driver and dont wants to buy one as ill prob never use it again ,and wich way does the seal go in ive been told both ways now and totally confused regards ste

    2 1/2 inch plastic pipe use that as a driver works real well...all the best Des..

  9. Well, My 05 frame is abent a little, and I can go through the issue of either straightening it, clearning it up and putting it back together, or getting a new one. While I'd see it as a huge loss getting another of the same frame, Can I not like say get an 07 frame? And if so, what else would I need to change in order for it all to fit?

    a 1999 frame on e-bay buy it now 50 quid a little older but a quick cheap fix...
