I did some searching and couldnt find anything to point me to the answer to my question. I am a noob, I've already admitted that and didnt know whether there was such a thing which is why I asked, next time I wont bother if its such a bad thing to create a topic for a question. My reaction was due to the last two topics I've made it seemed Chewy had nothing constructive to say but sarcasm towards me. I dont think age on a forum has anything to do with a right to be clever to the newer members who dont have the understanding and knowledge of everything to do with trials, but I guess thats just my opinion. Anyoldiron's reply, as well as a few others have been alot more reasonable, and pointed me in the right direction then needless sarcasm.
It wasnt a complaint, it was a question to If I could get a more flexable mudguard. I wasnt sure to if the outdoor were more durable because they had to be rigid due to having a job to guard from mud, where as indoor, you dont really need that guard as there isnt any mud, and its more for looks rather than riding without one.
Thanks anyways

Just ben to halfrauds yesterday and picked up a nice tool set with sockets, pliers, psi gauge, jublii clips, cable ties, torch, spark plug remover and wire wool ect.. really handy, as well as a pump and set of allen keys for the bag. Had a look at a couple and couldnt decide which I wanted... The mule or the 2 litre one thats a little smaller. Decided on the mule.. Its not as big as I thought and pretty much just the right size I was looking for. Got one on order as halfrauds were abit expensive. All in all I cant wait to test it out

Thanks for the reply to my question

What does Rtd mean? Forgive me for my noobness
-
Yeah, I've experienced that with plastic water bottles before! The stench too! Yuk.
-
Mule looks abit too big on the back. Guess I can pop down to my local halfords and have a gander and try of a few to see if I like them. Was just thinking it would be ideal for a rain coat storage if I get too warm wearing it, and a few tools such as a cheap kit of allen keys and few sockets in one of those cases, spark plug remover and plug, pump ect. Wouldnt need too much space, coats the main issue.
-
Mines on now with a few cable ties and big washers but as you say it doesnt look the part when the rest of the bike looks half decent. I guess I'll just carry on as I am and do a full new pastics and stickers when summer comes. I guess

Maybe you should find an understanding for trolling whilst your at it. Your posts are somewhat pointless. Its a simple question.
Yes I lack experience and understanding. I have only just got on a trials bike in some what 6-7 years. This is a trials forum, and so I'm asking because I have already broke my rear mudguard in half, and its pointless buying a new one when the same thing is going to happen. I've seen the ones in indoor trials flex far more than they should without breaking, and was wondering if anyone knew if they were available or exsted.
Go annoy someone else if you have nothing constructive to say.

Will these fit a few tools in and a waterproof coat? Or are they limited to a small amount of gear due to the hydration pack?
-
Anyone got one of these? I'm going to invest in one for when I'm down in the woods for carrying a spare spark plug, tools, pump ect whilst also having a drink on tap (literally). Theyre cheap, light and look very useful

Thanks for the reply Fray. Really loving the clice 2010 Blue/White... They're pretty cheap compared to a few other brands and look well! Think I'll be sold with a set of these. Think im going to get the jitsie jacket tho as it looks good and has loads of pockets! Saying that the waterproof softshell clice one looks good in blue

Is there any place where you can get more flexable mudguards? The ones like they use in indoor trials where you can pretty much bend them over themselves without them snapping?
-
I want to look the part as well as feel warm yet not overheat. It's not about minding, its about personal preferance. Why buy a T-shirt for
-
I am unsure as to what clothes I should buy for my sherco. I really like the Jitsie Rail range, but dont know if to go colour coded with my bike. I like the Jitsie T1 Riding Jacket also but dont mind the Alpinestar RJ-5 Jacket either. For colour coding, I like the 2008 jitzie range but dislike the newer trick range, but I cant help but think I'd be riding round in old fashioned gear. Not like it matters but the other problem lies with where to find a set of 2008 clothing.
Heres my choices so far, Would love people to recomend me others as this is all I've found that I like at the minute.

Jitzie Rear
Jitzie Front

Alpinestars Rear

Have you been twisting your mixture scew whilst your throttle isnt open? As if you twist it in it can score the needle or bite and leave a lip into the slot the needle goes in. I still think its a stator problem and you need to check the spark by removing the plug and kicking the bike off whist still having the leads on and the plug, and having the end touching the engine for an earth.
-
I just had my ignition stator replaced and it seemed the same problem. Once warm it ran **** or wouldnt idle properly. Check your spark, remove your plug and hold it to the engine and give the kick start a few kicks and see if you get a decent spark. Mine got to the point where it didnt spark at all.

Hey Kev, thanks for that reply, but thats the only wheelie I can do. I want to be able to do a long slow wheelies that look more controlled.
-
I guess it all cmes down to experience rather than nack. I'll try learning some more and being comfortable with being at the point of near no return, ha. Should I be dipping my clutch as i feather the back brake or is it not nessisary?
-
I can do decemt size wheelies. I get the wheel up nice and high pretty good with a little bounce on the front and a flick out with the clutch whilst giving a little trottle, thats from a standing start. I've felt as what you say the narrow mark quite alot of times, where you feel any more and you will go over.. I panic and pull the clutch in and let it roll back down. I tend you find it I hit the back brake it knocks me off balance doing it or brings the wheel right down. I can wheely up hills pretty good, Its just when I get to the top i tend to be too vertical and either get lucky to carry it on or have to bring front end down
-
I cant seem to do slow wheelies. If I do them in first, I run out of throttle and it just screams once it speeds up, same with second. 3rd I can get big wheelies, high and long but they're too fast, power wheelies and not controlled and slow. What gear am I best on doing this in, and any tips on how to get used to using the back break? I know thats what I must do but as soon as I do the front end copmes straight down. Am I supposed to lean right back when I brake and come forward abit again when I blip throttle? And am I suposed to be holding a bite with my clutch? Any tips please
