Thanks Wherry, that link is very helpful, maybe a kind MOD should make it a sticky thread so every new buyer knows what to look for.
By using it the bike turned out to be older again, it is in fact a 97 model. It looks in tidy condition but he wants 2003 money for it. I don't mind buying pre a 2000 model as long as its honest and priced accordingly, IMO if the present owner is that clueless about the year then what are they like at servicing/maintaining the bike????
I'll wait untill a good'un comes along
