  1. Thanks Wherry, that link is very helpful, maybe a kind MOD should make it a sticky thread so every new buyer knows what to look for. By using it the bike turned out to be older again, it is in fact a 97 model. It looks in tidy condition but he wants 2003 money for it. I don't mind buying pre a 2000 model as long as its honest and priced accordingly, IMO if the present owner is that clueless about the year then what are they like at servicing/maintaining the bike???? I'll wait untill a good'un comes along
  2. Cheers mark, I'll post a picture when i find the right one. Sadly the bike i was looking at was infact a 1999 model.. but it was advertised as an 03. This seems to be the trend on that certian 'bay' auction site There's a few on there now claiming to be newer than 02 but all have the big black rear break caliper that as far as i'm aware was only fitted on pre 01 bikes Is there anyway of checking the year by the frame numbers then?
  3. Never mind i just searched the 68 pages of Monty threads [for the third time ] and found what i needed
  4. Hi Everyone, Is there a way of telling what year the bike is via frame numbers on a Cota 315? Cheers
  5. Stretching is the best advice anyone can have for back problems - as already mentioned by others i would avoid lifting yourself off the floor with your legs etc until you've seek medical advice because it could worsen your condition!! I suffer from a slipped discs and lower back pain from years of motocross/enduro riding [crashes], I scrapped the normal mx kidney belt for a proper medical back support and it worked wonders, those of you that still ride H&H may want to try that, I even wear it on the trials bike with great effect.. I also lay on the floor after riding and pull each knee up to my chest while the other leg is stretch out right.. hold this position for 20sec then repeat with the other leg for atleast 5 reps - also Squats are good with very very light weights.
  6. Well i've been a TC member for a few weeks now but i've lurked around on here for a very long time.. At the moment i'm still riding Hare scrambles/enduro's and sadly i don't actually own a trials bike just yet, but i'm on the look out for one [hence me lurking on here] with the intention to compete in a few trials between enduros etc. I thought it's only right to say Hi in here first before posting anywhere else [good manners and what not] - So Hello everyone Great site, loads of helpfull info, keep up the good work.
