  1. It's a fair point, just saying that for a newbie, regardless of biking history, trials is a different ball game, and takes a long time to master, and is easier to master on a smaller capacity bike.
  2. Today, I took out three complete novices, road riders but folk who have never been on a trials bike in their puff. I had my 250 and my partner came with her 125, and they all said her 125 was much easier to ride and all felt in far more control than on mine.
  3. It's probably best to clarify. The bigger capacity bikes are great for playing around, doing big steps, firing up big rocks, but in reality of trials, you won't be doing that until you've progressed up a level or two, but it's your money fella, you spend it as you see fit.
  4. I have yet to attend a trial yet, where anyone riding clubman level needs more than a 250, it's a macho thing, I've done it also, and also have a long biking history, and also now have a 250, but I bet he still buys the 2.9
  5. You have a PM chief, as of yet unread
  6. Its ok, its a macho thing. I havnt been to a trial yet where anyone who rides clubman needs anything more than a 250.
  7. Just thinking out loud for now, probably wait til 2015 models are out before I decide which model I want, though the jtg is very nice but a tad more than I was hoping.
  8. I can't seem to find the prices for new Jotagas bikes anywhere, does anyone know the new prices or have a list ?
  9. New to rials and you've bought a three hunner Remember and let go
  10. if you live and ride in Scotland, you have next to no option but to.....
  11. Having some issues. Getting fork seals on not the problem, its how much oil do you replace as it says measure by air gap but how does one do that with cartridge in and if you remove the oil would just pour out the bottom. Also, i assume you need a special tool to remove the right hand cap ??

    Atf In A Sherco ?

I know that ATF works well in Gasser's but how is it in sherco's ? I normally use light gear oil 75w but just wondering about ATF.
  13. How much memory does it take up and how long does your battery last...
  14. Enjoyed that. Do you just switch it on and leave it on then edit accordingly or do you switch it on and off as and when ??
  15. Is this an easy enough job to do on an 09 125 ? I have the info in regards how much oil per fork/air gap etc, but is the job itself easy enough for a layman.
  16. I have to say I think 80ml is far too much oil per 5lt for trials bikes. Fine if you're doing road trials but in the main you'll not burn off the excess oil that will build up just pottering around at a local trial.

    No Starty ?

I'm not joking either, no I don't. The bike was on it's original plug from new til about 3 months ago, hence why I don't check them. I had a ktm 200 two stroke enduro bike that would eat 3 plugs in the afternoons riding.
  18. Give the air filter a good clean and oil, but not over oil. Not sure how much gear oil is in the 07 model but mine is 500mil but usually put in around the 450 mark 60-70mil of two stroke oil per 5 litre petrol can ( try and use good petrol Shell vamx or the BP equivalent) 6 in the front and 4 in the back for tyres unless it's a minging muddy ole day and go 5 and 3 Generally go round checking the bolts/nuts are tightened as they have a habbit of coming loose. Sure there is much more to do but canny think at the moment but others with far more knowledge than me will be along soon enough to keep you right.

    No Starty ?

2012 250 Carb out and cleaned, getting a spark, disconnected kill switch, fuel in tank, carb getting fuel, started and ran fine last time out at weekend, but no starty now....
  22. Isn't this section the wrong place to ask ? A bit like asking in, say the sherco section, are sherco's good bikes.
