  1. Thanks for the Reply Jimmy, we'll pull it in bits this week and report back. Pat Mustard
  2. My Mate came off his 4RT at Cowm yesterday and the gear lever took a bash. Now the bike will not get any gears apart from first. It will shift up in to neutral but will not get any gears past that. We are going to strip it at some point this week but if anyone has any suggestions what to look out for or what to expect it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Patmustard
  3. Hi Mark, email address is keppledj@hotmail.com. If you could send a pic over that would be great. Cheers Pat
  4. Hi Mark, It is part number 238 on the diagram below - 3rd page: http://haventrialsportshop.com/Documents/Techno1999.pdf Cheers Pat
  5. A friend of mine has just purchased a 99 (I think) Techno, the bike is genrally in good shape but the rear brake caliper has cracked. We have tried everywhere to source a replacement but have so far drawn a blank and have been told the part is now obsolete. Does anyone have any ideas where we may be able to track one down? Many Thanks Patmustard

  7. you ready for some cowm action this weekend pat. just been and purchased a clutch and various other goodies ready for the weekend

  8. Sounds like its running too rich (jetting) or too much Oil to fuel, what mix are you running?
  9. I think the part you need is number 21 part Number 44313-NN2-900 as shown here: Apex. Sandifords should be able to get one for you.
  10. All sorted now, the seals were in upside down. Swapped them over and no leaks at all now, Thanks again for all the sound advice.
  11. Thanks for that, I'll check which way round they are when I get chance and report back. Thinking about it though it does make sense as if the open spring side was facing downwards the oil pressure would tighten the seal? Note to self: when a manual says "installation is the reverse of removal" or similar this only applies if it was put together right in the first place.
  12. Thanks for the quick response Wherry, I changed the oil seals under the wire clip, the dust covers looked ok so I re used them. I'm pretty sure I put the new fork seals in with spring reinforcement facing upwards as this was how the old one's were, could that be the problem?
  13. I changed the fork seals on my 98 315r (Paoli forks) last weekend but they started leaking again almost straight away. I can't see any scratches or damage to the stanchions, I put 360ml of 5w oil in each leg and the seals were fitted the same way round as the old ones with the spring part facing up. Is this right or were the old seals in the wrong way as they didnt look too worn out? Failing that is there any other reason why they may leak even with new seals. Thanks in advance.
  14. Cheers fellas, went to cowm quarry last weekend, it was awesome, the place is just vast. Going to Tong tomorrow.
