tryed startin but no luck what so ever, tipped up so no water in, about a pint of water came out the exhaust when i took it off, cleaned up the carb good and proper today, it was full of muddy water, i took head off and it was really badly coked up anyway but it had scored the cylinder, so im getting it bored out and oversize piston, gonna do the bearings while im at it, gonna put a boost bottle on it whilst im at it, rd350lc inlet, im using this as an excuse to smarten it up so in spring it will look mint!! considering putting it on the road, anyone kno what il need to do??

lost my ty175 in a river today, turns over easy enough, took it back to the van took it home, iv taken the engine out and was talking to a freind and he said iv probably bent the conrod, whats the likely hood??
what else will be damaged?

i think the best kids start bike has to be the legendary Yamaha TY80, made in the '80's, cheap to buy, easy to run and still mega fun!

i have a ty175, it has a flywheel weight on it, does anyone know if taking this off will make my engine run badly??

the govenment is trying to bring in a daft legislation so ALL motorbikes, yes all including trials bikes, crossers, speedway bikes, motoGP bikes have to be road registered to stop us riding them illegally, which most of us arnt doing anyway, they are bringing it in to stop yobbo's on mini moto's taring round there neighbour hoods distrurbing people, but they cant jst stop mini moto's so they have to stop us all! the only way to get round it is to road legal your bike, other wise it will be confiscated and destroyed!!

it says the CC on the side of the inlet port I.E if its 175 i think it says 171CC or 174CC

im hopefully (note hopefully) going to be shifting my ty175 soon, and im after something like a techno 250, but i dont know much (anything) about them, how much should i pay? what should i look out for? big problems?
any help would be appreiciated,

bob had a 2000 nd odd sherco 125, it ran really nice, and was V. responsive, and it never went wrong, i think you jst picked a bad 'un!
