The chain tentioner is attached to ome of the crankcase bolts and yes it has a spring. the front brake is attached to the forkleg with a adjuster similar to whats found on a pushbike. I will get some pics later.
If the front wheel is central in the forks and the spacers are correct so the sliders are parallel the torque will need to be cranked. Be aware montesa used at least two types of yokes which differ in spacing between the forkes and require different spacers and the thickness of the boss on the brake plate.
As for your other question the swing arm can have a little hose tail connector on each side which sometimes are connected together with a hose which i think should be filled with oil and on other bikes the hose is teed into the gearbox breather on the rear of the engine. I removed mine and fitted grease nipples.
The front wheel is incorrect and the torque arm has been cobbled onto the front hub. It also looks like the torque arm bracket is broken off the fork leg.
Good luck with the bike

Im trying to build up set of forks from various bits I've got laying about but the diameter of the 35mm forks seem to differ from 34.87mm to 34.98 and not all parts will interchange. Does anyone know are the diameters different between models or years or are they graded in the factory to give the best match. Any ideas?
It's not unusual for a 349 to rattle like a goodun pistons and small ends are available from inmotion, millers or Kevin Breedon. I can measure a pin if you need to know the diameter but pistons come with new pins.
I had on in the mid 80's they are fitted with a TS 185 piston from memory, it was as flat as a pancake fine on the flat but no good for climbs. Avoid it and buy a std 125 bike or a 200.
Kevin breedon will advise on the end gap, the only way to check ring is to trim the ends and fit it in the bore and check for gaps on the sealing face.
Put new point and condenser in they are cheap and that will remove the from the equation , if problem persists perhaps retire the ignition as it 30 years old now then you only havr the coil and plug left.
The crank seals can be replaced without splitting the motor or taking the crank out as they are fitted into seal carriers behind the flywheel and pinion gear on either side of the motor. Don't forget to get new gaskets for the carriers and don't loose the shims. When the seals went in my mont it threw oil out of the exhaust and ran like
A bag of crap good luck with your problem.

Cambs Trials Centre, March Cambridgeshire, seem to have a good selection according to their website Im only 15 miles away but have never been but to be fair have not made any major purchases recently.
The Breedon piston when fitted in a mh349 needs the ports putting in the skirt and the ring gap pins are in the wrong place. As for the 330 I have no idea but if the bore pin and compression height are correct then it's an option. Try Millers or in motion as they both have pistons from time to time for the 349 and may be able to help with the 330.
