i am curenty trying to find a permenent solution for carrying spare fuel when i am on a long run i can not take a 5 litre jery can as they are to big i have tryied some special 1 litre plastic cans but they some times go off with a bang if you land on them or the top fails. i have tryied some metal drinks bottles but they have bad seals or the top swels up and is very hard to get off.
any idias would be great thanks.
yes i think the best way to find any problems is to wait till they come out and see what people say about them. i am very intrested in buying one my self i just cant understand whats takeing them so long to get it out
The switch is just a little sensor that screws in to your rad you can test it by diping the sensor in to boiling water if the fan does not come on then its the fan or the switch then you could try hard wireing your fan in to see if it is just the switch. i would personaly just get a new switch and try that 1st.
Its on the radiator buddy i think there is a thermo switch on the bay the now if not ask pidcocks to order you one. I would say thats most likely your problem.
Not worth it for that get your parts from pidcocks ask for a 2010 clutch master cylqnder they are cheper than older ones but better. Azk them about clutch oil i get it from them but not sure what kind it is but its good stuff like and not that expensive.
check out the new web site they have upside down forks i think they will have some problems there and i also think they might have some problems with the air box it looks to go straght in to the throttle body and it looks like it gos straght down i think mabe it will hold water??
im trying to get my back break blead in rite i have it dont a bit but its just not as sharp as it should be any tips on geting it bang on? or improveing it?
i do understand what your saying but the 4rt is still very much more saught after than the beta 250 and 3004t as for being new i dont think it is the 250 has been around since 07 i think and the 300 is just a 250 with a 300 kit as they were lacking in power.
they dont have the same build quailty eather honda all the way for me and meany more people agree compaired to the beta.
bikes allways get compaired to the best one on the markes and for the 4 strokes thats a honda montesa 4rt that is why they allways compare it to a mont and never say the scorpa.
i do think if gasgas brought out a 4 stroke it would be a great bike and very worthy of compairing to a mointesa but probly not on build quality.
montesa naied it rite from the word go great bike!!!
ok thanks very much for all yoiur help i think i am going to side step it for now any way and mabe get my self a rather expensive xmass present. i will be getting my self a standard bike as the repsol does not seem to have any thing that you can not buy for less than that 1000 or so extra
Thats prety normal for the montesa clutch you could try lighter oil in your transmition pj1 ultra light (make sure not to stick it in the engine). what year is the bike?.if your bike is draging a lot then it could be your needing an oil change.
my bike is a 2006 and i bought a clutch master cylander for a 2010 bike cost around 30 has a bigger stroke and piston so is more efective for reduceing the drag.
what you just changed them and they went on your 1st ride? you need to change them about once a year approximatly. i managed to get my self a service free dog bone linkage from a site message me if you want the address.
They brought out the 300 as every one I know with one stuck a 300 kit on the 250 because they were lacking in power!!!.
Montesa nailed it with the 4rt very reliable, nice throttle response, plenty power and feels very sturdy to ride. Best 4 stroke on the Market and I think Honda would be making a mistake stoping there production.
the montesa 4rt for sure its a 250 and does realy well its also bomb proof. beta made the 300 becouse the 250 was lacking in power. go for the monty you wont be sorry.
dont touch the throttle when starting the 4rt just kick it and it will go.
The petrol smell is when you flood the motor with fuel cos you have the throttle wide open.
any idia what date they will go on sale in the uk?
i am expecting them to be quite torkey compaired to a normal stroker and have a lot more usable power.
has any one riden one yet?
yeh polish the front pipe that will make a huge difrence to your rideing haha sorry.........
great bikes but i have heard from 2 of my friends one who done the scottish on one 2 times they both said that they are bette with the 300cc kit on it a bit lacking as a 250.
