Have a word with central wheels, I’d say something is wrong + it won’t leave a lot of thread for future adjustments
You could lengthen the thread, but CWC roll the threads so you would end up with a poor quality spoke
Measure twice, and cut once!

Its probably been replated at some time, and the piston matches the replated size?
-
Yes, you need to sorn it as its not transferable
Do it on-line as soon as you receive the logbook back, don
-
If you have the head off you might as well remove the barrel & have a look at the crank
It shouldnt cost a fortune to rebuild, new rod kit, main bearing +seals, gaskets and a new set of rings
It would be better than buying a second hand motor as you may buy another rough one!
(Also check the barrel, any flaking or score marks then you can add £££'s)
-
Really you need someone with some experience to have a look, you need to put the engine on top-dead-centre and try to lift the con-rod up and down without turning the crank
Any play there would indicate a blown crank (if it is the bigend you can have the crank rebuilt with a new con-rod kit)
But two strokes will tend to run even with a knackered big-end (very noisily until something gives!)
how old is the bike?

Oil comes in all different colours, as long as it clear and not a creamy it should be fine
-
You also had a gasser 250 & and a scorpa?
-
Thought you already had a 250 gasser?
-
More than likely, but lets hope he didn
-
I had a set of Hebo, and they cracked very badly after a few rides (see old posts)
I returned them to the supplier who reluctantly replaced them, the second set seem to be lasting longer
Cracked Boots
I wished Id have spent a few quid more after!

Nice vids, thought for a minute that said strap-on catalogue

Question? What a load of crap!
Question? or you could join us in another pointless and costly war
Just another propaganda video

nasty, but lucky to be alive!?!?!?!?!

Surely this is the same problem that started all the problems, banks borrowing money to buy euro-bonds aka: bad debts!
Makes no sense to me!
-
Yes, I used to have a KTM that did it on the odd occasion
I retarded/advanced (can’t remember) the ignition very slightly, problem solved
Check your timing

I supply safety critical parts to the automotive industry, I have seen some Chinese components that have failed due to incorrect material specification, the machining was excellent (top rate CNC), but the failures lead to catastrophic consequences!
I have no doubt they can & will produce good quality parts, but people buy cheap then worry about the consequences later
I have adapted or business to suit the market, but I will not import parts from china
Plus if its that easy to get a job why do I get so many CVs thought the post!
Also an engineer (top rate at that) I made redundant 12 months ago is still looking for work?
-
I think one of the biggest problems is all the Chinese imports, our money is haemorrhaging into their economy, and they are just building up vast reserves of foreign currency
Most of there products are sub-standard and we are losing manufacturing at an alarming rate! (of what little we had in the first place)

I run a small engineering/retail business, I used to employ 3 people its now just me
It did start to recover slightly end of last year, but the last 2-3 Months have been the worst yet!
Has anyone else found this or is it just me?
-
I will second what Charlie says, I purchased a C15 engine my years ago for £60 which looked to be in very good condition, but on stripping down the crank was damaged and most parts very worn!
You really need to have a look inside
