A mate of mine has an 04 scorpa. At the weekend it devolped a clutch problem, the lever would not pull in more than half way,on inspection the arm that goes into the engine was catching on the casing,it looks as though it has dropped down about 5mm and the plunger out of the slave cylinder is not in line.Has anyone had this problem and if so what is required to fix it.Also does anyone know where we can get a parts diagram from. Thanks.

Try BRASSO it worked on my sons ty,deep scratches can be parred down using a new stanley knife blade pulled across the surface, then buff up with a good polish.Silicone spray gives a good shine to plastics, just spray on then leave overnight and wipe off any excess next day.

Hi,i would maybe look for a Beta Techno, they are good solid bikes and i have seen some nice ones at trials. If you are not sure what to look for in a used machine then take someone with you who is, they will be able to check out the condition of the bike and if any work needs doing assess how much time and money is involved.

Hi, how much oil do you put in a rev 3 at oil change, I know its 550cc capacity but this will be the ammount after rebuild.I think I was told 500cc.Thanks.

Doughboy, i think the sherco engine is the best trials engine utilising the same bottom end as the larger capacity bikes. It is heavier than the Rev 80 so depends how big your lad is when upgrading. It is also higher geared than the beta so may need gearing down at first until he gains confidence on the bike.
I think the Beta has been more popular with national riders as pre 2005 the sherco was a 99cc capacity machine so was not eligable for the 80 class.we are currently using the 99cc barrel in club trials but will use the 80 at the nationals we ride.
All in all it seems a great bike with plenty of low down power similar to the TY engine, and suspension that works with the weight of riders it is designed for.It handles the sections in c class far better than our Gas Gas 80 did, sometimes the Gas Gas just did not have enough bottom end to pull higher gears when needed. The Beta engine seems to pull ok after comparing one with the Gas Gas.

Thanks for the replies. I am using castrol TTS @ 90ml per 5L OF Shell optimax.I also noticed that the choke can get caught on the guides and look out for this.I will run at 80ml of oil on sunday and maybe just take the screw out another half turn. Will post how it goes.

Whilst riding the youth trial at scarborough last weekend my sons 05 0.8 cut out twice, this was due to the plug fouling with black soot due to it running far to rich. Mixure screw was 3.5 turns out.Rathmells say this setting is about right,I can only get it to run cleanly about 2 turns out and it runs spot on with no pinking.I am wondering if it will be ok at this setting as rathmells said i should not go below 3 turns out,any advise would be appreciated,Thanks.
