yeah all in the right way. Spoke to raptor ti today, very helpful chap and he's sorted the problem with some longer springs. Great customer service.
-
no it's all there. I did have a look at some pics of the ttt bikes and they all seem to be the same on this side!
-
apologies, it's on a 2011 beta evo. I found it strange as one side fits fine!
-
Fitted some raptor pegs this evening, on one side the spring sits on top of the hanger, on the other side it sits within.
Will this be ok or could it gradually wear the hanger away?
-
Can anyone direct me to a guide on removing the standard kill/lighting switch and the associated wiring?
I have purchased a yamaha style kill switch as advised on these forums.
Thanks

as far as i'm aware they are very good. A few people i know have purchased bits from them and they turned up pretty quick!
-
jbanyeres.com -Fuji's minder-he stocks loads of fancy 4rt bits
-
torque setting for the springs is 10nm as are the 4 bolts for the clutch cover.

sorry to hear that. I hope something turns up. I'll keep my eyes peeled down here and on ebay.
Mine is for sale on here and ebay too, have you had any one enquire about the bike or just sheer coincidence do you think?
-
Thanks for the replies guy's. Just a few more things:
-@ "tricks"-do you know anymore about the clutch problem your friend has had, I take it it's not a common issue? Also, i don't suppose you have had the chance to try the 280? if you have, how does it compare to your 250?
-Am i right in thinking the standard models still come with the formula brake/clutch?
-Are there any other re-occuring problems with the pro bikes such as gearbox issues, kick-starter parts failing or are these things now resolved?
Sorry for all the questions.
Thanks
Hugh
EDIT: With regards to play in the linkage, my evo had it from new and was also told it's normal. Some do and some don't it would seem!
-
Just after a bit of info on the 2012 models please;
-Build quality and durability? Especially compared to other brands such as beta and sherco
-How are they power wise? I find the 250 evo has a fair bit of grunt which i like, will the gasser be the same?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
Apologies for the tarty question but i like to keep my bikes in top shape!
Whats the best way of removing stains/burnt on mud etc from the exhaust on my evo? After a jet wash with bike cleaner mine looks a little sorry for itself in places! Will a scotch brite pad be ok? Don't want to remove any coating the exhaust has to prevent rusting!
Thanks

I've been looking at purchasing an ohlins for the rear of my 2011 evo. Something i've noticed a fair few people do.
-Are they worth the money, will it give me more adjustability?
-What is the difference between the gold and silver versions apart from colour?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
I've fitted a new seal kit in my beta evo clutch master cylinder (thanks to J Lampkins for fantastic warranty support). I kept the lever held up right for the whole procedure and afterwards removed the reservoir cover, flicked the lever ( a few small air bubbles came out) and topped up.
I've had the bike running and warmed it up and the clutch seems fine but what are the symptoms of air the clutch? I don't want to be half way through a trial and it start playing up.
Is it best practice to bleed the clutch after replacing the master cylinder seals?
Thanks

Hi guy's,
I've fitted some beta rim stickers to my evo wheels. Do you normally have to trim them to fit (length) or have i buggered it up? I've used the shorter ones on the rear and the longer on the front.

Thanks for that. I found the little piece that i cut off the end with the cut out. On closer inspection i would say the hole has been intentionally cut about 1-2 inches up from the bottom.
Purchased a new hose, feel like a wally for cutting it off now! See pic below:

Hi everyone,
removed my carb for the first time on my 2011 beta evo 250 yesterday to give it a check over/clean.
I noticed the breather hose on the choke/exhaust side has a chunk missing about 2 inches up from the end. To me, it looked as though something had rubbed and caused the hole but after readings a few things i'm now questioning as to weather or not the cut out was intentional?
I have trimmed it back to this point and re-assembled but i'm now worried it may have an effect on performance if this was in fact intentional.
What is the purpose of the pipe running from the exhaust/choke side on the carb and does anyone elses 2011 evo have the same cut out or wear mark?
Thanks
Hugh

mine seems ok fingers crossed. It looks anodised to me but couldn't be 100% sure!

I'm running putoline gp10 as per John Lampkins reccomendation. I'm putting in 500ml. So far, so good!

Hi everyone, I hace a 2011 evo, 3 rides old. Noticed tonight when on the work stand that there is some play in the linkage if the rear wheel is gently lifted. Is this normal?
I'm planning on stripping the linkage down this week and re-greasing.

I'll give them a call again tomorrow.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking at getting my new evo insured for theft. It's road registered as the dealer offered to sort all that out for me and i figured it may be best in the long run. At the moment I only want insurance for theft etc. My plan was to SORN it as soon as the paperwork comes through.
I spoke to Carol Nash today who said I need an MOT to insure it as it's road registered. Not sure if this is the case however if i sorn it?
Can anyone confirm as i don't want to pay out for an MOT if not necessary!
Thanks

Just went through the disk! Doesn't work on a mac so had to wait until i could use the other-halfs microsoft!
Thanks for the info, just worked out the ratio of 1.5% for synthetic oil (I'm using the Putoline TT trial synthetic oil) to 75ml but i guess the little extra would be good for it when running in.
Thanks again

Hoping someone can help me with a boot sizing question:
I tried on some gaerne classic and oiled boots today. The 44's were great for width but my toes were touching the end, the 45's were way too big. I have very narrow & flat feet.
Alpinestars always used to fit me quite well for enduro/mx boots so thought they may be ok but the dealer has none in stock.
Are the gaerne's likely to give a little once they are bedded in?
How are alpinestars for sizing, are they true to size (i've read the uk10 is a 44.5 so would be spot on and give me that little extra room.
Thanks
Hugh
