  1. scorpa probably gone downhill since fitting of sherco engine theres faulty cdi,s on late sherco,s it could possibly have the same cdi as the sherco

  4. ,, i wouldnt fit anything other than ngk you probably had the resistor type which are crap and can break down after one days use
  5. almost sounds like stator breaking down , i know gas gas have had problems with the new 80cc bikes after only 2nd outing
  6. yes if coloant was not circulating properly it wouldnt of ran for long before seizing also i cant see how it maintained temprature for 2 hours use unless it was along a road and had plenty cool air drawn through ,, it definatly sounds like the thermo switch if the fan works when the 2 connectors are bridged ,, you can test the switch with a continuity tester if you place it in a pan of water and boil it up ,it should connect when near boiling if that works see if you can do the same test with the switch wired to the connectors boil it up in a kettle or on a camping stove (obviously be carefull a hand would be good ) you will need to extend the wires ,it could be possible to do this with a heat gun on the switch but be carefull not to burn the wires/connectors and you will need the bike running if this works then refit and fill system allowing any air to be removed then run the bike up it should work,, a lot of people tend to fit Gas Gas switches to shercos due to sherco ones been poor

  8. its been fitted to the inside to prevent it catching rocks and been pulled off ,its poss yore tensioner is out of line pulling chain over or the peg or its mount or even frame is bent causing the peg mount to be closer to the chain
  9. personally id go 6 rear and 8/10 in front ,,you need to mix 5 litres ( not a full plastic red/green can ) petrol to 90ml synthetic 2t oil = 55to1 but you could go 70to1 =71ml i prefer to have a little more so use 90ml to 5 litres
  10. 290 would be a handfull maybe a reason for all them sherco,s for sale ie people buy and dont like but iam biast ,cant fault the rev3 ( well only the stator but if rewound with heavier wire they are ok ,and can fail on any bike ) you should be able to pick up an 07 the later shape rev3 they have a lower frame/seat height

    i have a pipe i made up which enables a rev3 silencer to fit, these together weigh a lot less then the rev4 pipe and sounds like a deristricted mont

  13. as title its an 2011 seems to get very hot ,popping low power smoking after first lap then ran ok its been going on for some time but cant get to bottom of it fan works, usually when cooled down for couple mins it runs ok again ,also another one on trial today with same symptoms
  14. yes it would be better as you can feel how tight it is but be careful as it can turn your hand back and trap it if in a constricted space and once trapped it may not be possible to release the trigger ,may only happen if you have a powerful ratchet with good air pressure volume but you get used to them ,,impact hex sockets should be used hex to prevent slipping and impact (black ) to prevent chrome splinting off , an impact gun is excellent for undoing nuts on items that can turn ie front sprocket flywheel clutch hub crankshaft drive sprocket as you dont need to hold the item solid for it to undo

  16. only been used hand full of times ,it ran out of fuel and once filled up it wouldnt rev properly ,carb all cleaned out twice then it seemed to cure itself ,now today doing a trial problem came back seems to bork and cut out when trying to rev it up i have my suspicians but have not looked at it myself as its not my bike ,,has anyone else had problems with new Gas Gas
  17. had prob with electric fuel tap so binned it for a conventional one using a banjo and inline tap add a fuel filter and go up a size on the fuel line ,,richen it up as they run weak from factory , also replace diaphram in carb top oh and had prob with ht lead arking to frame ,,that should keep you biussey for a while

  19. your probably best off stripping it down completely to find the problem and to be sure to get all the debris out obviously particles going around the engine could cause all kind of damage
  20. if you like the 4t try a beta rev4/evo4t and a mont 4rt they would be easier to find plus get parts for

  22. are you sure it came from rev3 as they have a mounting point on left side for the shock and they finish differnt towards the wheel end ,it looks more like a zero or techno one
  23. get a proper engineer ( vehicle engine reconditioner ) (would be helpfull if you have the clearences for them to work from ) to measure it up to determin if it has been over bored and get them to wright down there findings ,also if the ports have not been relieved (chamfered edges) they did not know what they were doing and it had no chance of been reliable for long at all ,the steel broken parts could of caused other damage to other parts such as the new mains ,big end, little end so needs good inspection if the work is found to of been carried out wrong you need to go back with your findings and ask what they can do about putting it right ,but dont have them work on it again
