hi ,yes easy course clubman or yellow course ,try the easiest course to start with just to get your bearings its harder than it looks
-
it sounds more like hes describing the lower part that its to the shaft which is steel ,therefor it can be mig welded get a good welder to do it though ,dont try yourself if not competent
-
the part that fastens to the actual shaft is steel and can be welded they tend to crack around the weld where the bolt fastens it on , the upper part that swings out is alloy which an engineer could possibly weld
-
if you got 4 stroke use engine braking if 2 stroke only use engine for short distance and blip throttle as engine is baking with hi revs and no fuel coming in to lubricate
-
mmm i think they prefer motocross if youre fluent you could ask at local bike shops ,is there no trials-motocross papers magazines?
-
if youre not a competant mechanic get an engineer to remove the snapped bolts or you will end up needing to replace the hub did the bolts come loose ? they are usually lock tightened in ,an engineer could come up with a solution to this like fitting bigger bolts or maybe better stronger quality ? some bikes are fitted with loose fitting discs (floating ) this could also help prevent this
-
better safe than sorry especially if you have a job and bills to pay
-
ey up , them bikes are reliable parts getting hard to find try steve goode if get stuck
-
just out of interest could you try it in the dark and check coil and lead for arking out
-
for some reason the 04 red shock is the most costly to be repaird when looking on lmpkins price list id try ebay someone is breaking an 03 the shock isnt the same but will fit
-
mmmm give m a ring they did a sherco one for me would think its simular had to fit a valve to regas it
-
certainly looks nice and sounds the dogs ,, did you try firefox in keithley to see if they could rebuild your shock
-
tend to need throttle when warm ,dont usually need hotstart have you raised clip ? as this will drop the needle and id say you need to raise it to give more fuel so you need to lower the clip ,what colour is the plug has it been changed ,also has valve clearences been checked correctly (just wondering if they are too tight ) a carb clean out also wouldnt harm to rule it out
-
as above turn upside down with plug out n turn over would pay to remove exhaust n dry out also clean carb n filter out , cant see it harming the reeds but kicking it over and running it with water in the engine could and can bend the conrod it will run but not quite right if this has happened
-
you need to ride it to clear it out then make adjustments it sounds loud and bangy at tick over which indicates rich fuel at low rpm so i would turn out the air screw untill it smooths out ,also once mudguard and cover is fitted it will run much richer again as this will restrict the airflow back to normal
-
fire fox racing keigthley also rebuild non rebuildable shocks
-
they do take a bit to get used to ,you could fit a slow action throttle which will smooth it out ,as you say the decomp engine braking downhill is great as prevents rear wheel locking up (this is not so good for a 2t as engine is working without much fuel ie lack of lube )either that or you just get used to pulling clutch in sooner to prevent sudden decomp my friend had one before me and said you just got to trust 1st gear i couldnt at first and used 2nd ,now i always use 1st and can ride 2t one week and 4t the next without any probs
-
could be high speed coil on stater starting to go
-
you could get use to this with practice but if you ride 2t aswell as 4t then you will struggle ,you could use the full 2t throttle and cable and use a solder on type of end to fit the carb
-
hi looks like a 91 could be dates on wheel rims ,excellent rotax engine good in deep water but a bit on heavy side
-
just to confirm richmond applegarth easy trial near marske sunday 4th it is stated in the trial info that there is no catering ,there has now been catering organised for this avent and would appreciate yourselves supporting them ,this will be there first trials event as usually cater for other different events thanks
-
hi i presume air filter has been checked and no restrictions in air flow, also remove mixture screw and check for damage and remember to make note how many turns out it is and its out for more fuel and in for less so may need to be in more it could pay to renew the jets incase someone has tampered with them and also replace the diaphram just to rule these out ,also check the needle is fitted corectly or try dropping it basically it sounds like its getting too much fuel ,or too less air or the exhaust is more restrictive for some reason ive heard of baffles cuming loose inside the box
-
-
it could be the wotsit on the thingy ,try getting a good sparky that could check it for you boy ,
-
you need to find whats causing that noise first ,poss the magnets have come loose from the flywheel or something loose on the stator ,my freinds just had a prob same as you describe on his 2000 rev3 turned out to be the stator
