  1. Has it got a flywheel weight fitted
  2. make a list , a pump can be handy , some grub and juice as you can get quite hungry , dont expect to win it, basic tools , wd40 spare levers maybe , ,, always walk sections be sure how many laps and sections , find out which flags you follow always confirm beginning and end flags , good rear tyre if likely to be slipy work on balance tight turns whilst slipping clutch with rear brake on ,dont forget not to stop and one dab is better than a five
  3. some clubs have a mono class it is growing but wont take over twinshock
  4. Do you not need a brake light now .would not like to think vehicles behind got no warning of a bike stopping ahead just asking for trouble
  5. there should be a mixture screw on the front of carb underneath engine side , i think i got an adjuster screw by jitsei to enable it to be adjusted by hand , i would go up on the main jet as they seem lean from factory
  6. you need to determine whether rich or lean , the choke not helping makes you think its too rich already if this is the case you should find the plug black and wet ( causing miss firing and duffing plug ) and possibly black wet from exhaust ,, if its lean the plug would be clean and grey or whiteish the engine would run hot and possibly pink ( abnormal knock ) if you cant determine which it is then you best buy some jets larger and smaller and try them and see which one improves the problem its only a case of jetting the carb to the engine to make it run right as long as the carb size isnt way different
  7. if you used to have a honda 4t then you could get yourself a 4rt with 2k as they do come up on ebay for that kind of money , or would get a gasser you would get a much later 2t for your money old scorpas were good reliable bikes cant comment on the later with sherco engine
  8. bought a cota200 3 years ago to do some twinshock events then bought a few more to do up and move on also to gain more spares as some came with parts then started looking at 242,s for a bit of extra power heres one just picked up
  9. might after try a smaller main jet , you could try one from your old carb
  10. someone has mentioned these before in 09 in the honda forum its basicly a 314 2t restickered japan model , ( i think )
  11. you have a 314 2 stroke ? or a tlr 4 stroke ?
  12. i would personally never use a r ( resistor type ) plug ,, is timing set correct ? also 2nd it sounding rich as using a lot of fuel is muffler blocked or air restriction to air box also is compression good
  13. should be able to pipe straight to the air box if it has no other function
  14. might just be trial and error work your way up on the main until its rich then come down until it runs right , where is it lacking
  15. an alloy tube would be best front be didfernt you allways need a tube inbetween
  16. you need a spacer tube inside the hub inbetween the bearing centres , not sure if nylon ones were ever used
  17. sounds like return spring broken or not working
