  1. i would also of suggested inmotion but millers are cheaper in this case
  2. have you tried sandifords or inmotion just found gordon farley has some on ebay
  3. looks like the rubber must twist , could be good as would prevent shock going through frame , also looks like there is a metal case around the rubber so they would remove , it could be possible to fit the cota 200 bushes ( steel outer brass type inner bush ) look at sammy miller products
  4. i mean drop of fuel in spark plug hole just a thimble full ,have you changed plug might just pay to try a new plug as might not be sparking under load
  5. Have you tried a drop of fuel in plug hole whats the story before this problem
  6. if theres fuel in carb and all jets are clear there must be a problem with compression or crank case pressure ie crank seals ,unless exhaust is blocked
  7. as above is petrol tap in correct position ,, if yes and no flow they tend to have a filter on the tap inside the tank
  8. i have a wheel where some one has removed them and replaced with bolts but looks like there has been some hassle ,, you may find it pulls the threads out with the stud possibly lock tightened in
  9. it looks like it should be there possibly plastic and snapped off ,, unless there is one in the other side
  10. is there anything that keeps it in place ,, cant see it been any good if it just flops about , as above you would expect 2 legs ,is it the correct selector ,did it have this problem before
  11. try inmotion they might have a piston kit , or i think ive seen a cylinder with piston on ebay
  12. does the evo disc fit the techno wheel ok
  13. ty mono forks are far superior ,but saying that the 200 forks work ok if in good order , have you considered rebuilding the originals
  14. would be very hard to say without hearing see if can post a video
  15. would it not be easier to get one made ,i presume the seals are to hold it central
  16. what makes you think its on the lean side ,repacking should have helped
  17. in that case try a tack and see if it helps ,, i see what your saying now , does it need to slide up or down at all on the shaft if not tack try and if ok give it a good weld
  18. hard to see could do with bigger better pics , might be a job for an engineer to look at maybe have a bush made , if it is welded it may cause it to jam been solid if cant move freely maybe ,
  19. found them on the montesa cota200 parts manual how ever it does like the first 200,s did not have one fitted ,show you tomorrow if get chance
  20. sorry to put you right ian but they did come with tensioners maybe the very first ones never , it was mounted to one of the engine casing bolts under front sprocket , but if the chain came off it would tend to bend the bolt cracking the casing so folk would remove them , i have mounted them on the lower engine mount bracket but if you were to go over a tree trunk and bottom it out it could bend it , i think the ty idea would be best mounted to swing arm
  21. an alloy impeller should help but it must be getting that hot its melting away ,, these bikes were quite lean from factory so if it were richened up it would help with cooling , sounds like it may need cylinder replating

    Which Carb?

i have found that sizes can be different in between different manufacturers when the number is the same ,but someone could of filled them bigger ,, it could be running rich at low revs blackening the plug and lean top end causing the bogging down unless fuel level is low in bowl , i would start with some new jets in the mikuni of correct size maybe see what sizes are used on later bikes with mikuni like a zero or techno , a faulty stator could give similar problems ie if low speed coil ok and hi speed coil is faulty this would also cause black plug as fuel will not burn correctly ,,does it rev up ok stationary ? does the choke make any difference
  23. i dont think they have the push rod centre bearing if it did and were missing its more likely to drive rear wheel constantly when in gear
