  5. Hi and sorry straight off . Just scrolling through some of the post i noticed that alot of people read posts but dont write anything or reply as such Now i understand that there is a variety of knowledge on here , but i cant belive out of 1 post and more than 254 views only 1 reply was evident. I know i have only been a member for a few weeks , but i am a memeber of another forum for my car and this does not happen . sometimes it takes a mod to promt but does get anwsers. now im not really sure i have a point , but i thought the hole idea was to have a forum where like minded people come on and post problems and also help or just give advice to others . doesnt seem to be the case here. It feels like a dead forum. does anybody agree or am i just being annoying? regards dave
  6. Ello mate. I had a similar issue on an old rm 250 i had I did over time split the case and replace the gasket . It stopped the leak , I overhauled the engine so put new case gasket on, But as a get me through i used arldite . Two compounds you mix togther like paste and it dries like metal. might just get a bit in to seal it up. i can send you some for free as i get kits from work for nowt. might be worth a try let me know regards dave

Sometimes, if the servo cylinder was off, try laying the bike on it's left side and pump the lever to get that bubble out of the servo cylinder area where it likes to hide if the cylinder was not bench bled first.

  8. Well after buying it for pennies i have decided to overhaul it before it use it. when the guy dropped it off i made a choice that i would square it away before i rode it , the guy really had no idea about keeping things in good working order. so after stripping the main componants off and seeing it in all its glory its not to bad. a couple off seized bearings and bodge jobs he's done im closer to rideing it . here is waht i have done so far http://s823.photobucket.com/albums/zz152/weemo1rush/bike/ will post more as i go

    Gas Gas Jtx

Good morning to you all Well i have just bought a bit of a winter project a jtx gas gas from 1996. Its in fairly good nick but i am going to need some new parts. wheels bearings will need doing and head bearings plus the exhaust is blowing out of the port so im guessing a new gasket is going to be in need too. does anybody know of any mail order/online companys i can use for such an old bike? I have done a quick search but all i can find are trick bit like carbon protectors and gear levers. any help will be greatfully recieved dave
  12. Hello you too you all. Just wanted to introduce myself. Dave from Exmouth. Been in to a different side of bikes for a while . mainly motocross / enduro hare and hounds / im not jumping ship but trying to explore more disiplines. I used to ride trials as a kid in dorset on a konking out piece of krud montesa cota!. My grandfather used to make me strip it down and clean it after every event. which now i thank him for. I work as a flight engineer for flybe in exeter but bikes are my life. Looking to just play around abit until i get the knack again then do some events. hopefully see some of you guys and and about
