hy just stripped my forks and fully cleaned the only thing im struggling with is the bronze bushing is there any tips on how to nock that back down as i dont have a seal driver and dont wants to buy one as ill prob never use it again ,and wich way does the seal go in ive been told both ways now and totally confused regards ste

just a daft quest which way does the seals go back in wich way does the spring side go

hy all il start again as ive got few quest as my manual is **** first wich way does the fork seal go in is it the spring side up also what are the oil levels for each fork in ml and the guide bushing on the bottom of the fork tube do you nock that so far down regards ste

hy im struggling with the oil levels in the manual its in cm3 is that the same as ml

thats what i dont get how do you no its 38mm or whatever regards ste

hy all just changed seals in my showa forks but just left tops off ready for oil when it comes do i just measure the amount of oil then pour in and put top back on forks or is there more to it.

also how much oil do i put in each fork for 4rt it dosnt say in manual regards ste

so tappets first ill have a look thanks i get back also is there a video anywhere on net to show me how to change fork seals and oil

hy yes iv tryed that is there anything easy to try as im not very mechanicaly minded and dont want to remove some cover and anything falls out regards ste

hy all ive got a 4rt 2005 and theres a rattle in engine so took it to 2 bike mechanics and they said def piston and barrel ect so i took it to a good friend that builds bikes up and he said it could be tappets , camshaft or cam chain does anyone no the settings for these and wich direction do i take as im short for cash , the noise dosnt get lounder when revs up same rattle or tappin all time regards ste

hy just took 4rt to mechanic and it is the piston slightly nocking and he said that could be the reason why it isnt starting easy (low compression) also he said its best to change full piston and cyclinder is this correct as bike runs perfect,if so what do they go for piston and cylinder regards ste

the bike is doin my head in i bought it as a friend said its best bike going never breaks but mine has a slight rattle in engine and dosnt start first go i have to kick it like a 2 stroke but runs perfect am i been a perfectionist or is it worth stripping injector and throttle body to see if clear and put new piston in helllp

HY AGAIN SORRY JUST TRYING TO NARROW DOWN PROBLEMS WITH 4RT IT STRUGGLES TO START AND IVE TRYED LOTS JUST WUNDERING IF THERE COULD BE **** IN INJECTORS OR THROTTLE BODY CAN THESE BE STRIPPED AND CLEANED ALSO IS THERE ANYTHING INVOLVED WHEN PUTTING BACK TOGETHER LIKE BLEEDING AIR OR ANYTHING .

hy near there i go to low north camp alot , its strange ive set idle at 1800rpm and ive been told and seen that a 4rt to start just a slow stroke rather than i have to do is kick it like a 2 stroke and use throttle to start it its anoying when i watch my mate touch his kick start and it starts .

whats the best way to check if the ht lead is workin

hy not sure i used to check for a spark on plug by putting it against metal eg. exhaust and kicking it also checking fuel system if i strip it it dosnt need bleeding or out or can i just put back together thanks ste

hy can anyone help i have a 2005 4rt and not been on it for few month now i cant get it to start when i used to go on it it wasnt to good at starting then so i made sure rpm was at 1800 and new spark plug and airfilter but just cant get it to start any ideas regards ste

hy sorry guys to keep asking iv posted before well again i have a 05 4rt and having starting problems i have done the following-new spark plug,airfilter,set the idle to 1800rpm but it does sound high tho is this normal ,fresh fuel ,also the throttle is set closed when starting . i have tryed the reseting ecu but still takes ages to start my mate has same bike and he lightly kicks his once and boom have i missed something everything looks ok but when kicking i can smell petrol this is prob normal im guessing hellllp please ste
