I love it. If we take Craig's approach to journalism we will all be writing about our local club trials riders who 'tried something different'.
Hey Ya'll, I got dis frein who I rode trails bikes wit en he was da top coon dog trainer in our county. I is gonna write a story for ya'll wit pichurs an everything.
-
So I was eating lunch today at the local 'hot spot' and started thinking about how hard it would be to put a 10" lift on my motorhome. I think that's going to be my next project......
Oh yeah, back to the topic at hand, unlike UNGRATEFUL certain other unmentionables that blow up topics, I'll start the bidding at $100 paid to trials central for a forum named after me. {Andy, you've never emailed me back where to send in my contribution for trials central!!!]
Ishy's point is valid, nonetheless I think everyone tends to open up the afore mentioned forum already knowing they are going to laugh whereas the USA forum still has a major tendency to fall prey to ridiculously boring topics...like stuff to do with X-Games.
Maybe a poll is in order to find out others agree with my train of thought on this. I would even change my avatar if neccesary but I really think it is about the most appropriate for the proposed forum.
I just don't know how to start a poll......
-
Hey Andy,
Will you email me what you need for me to send you money???? A credit card, send you a check,...whatever, I sent you an email a long time ago requesting this and you never responded. I NEED TO not be in the same class as the lame one. Hell, I'll send in twice as much just cuz I think your so cool and I really dig the site.

One thing that you guys all seem to be overlooking is that Endurocross is an "Enduro" sport and it has all of a sudden jumped from a relatively unknown sport to a nationaly televised one.[of course we are talking about the average Joe public. We all can agree that this type of racing has been in the background as SX and MX have always taken the spot light. Now EX has taken a little bit of spot light and is growing very fast comparatively. Yes, it's a venue for trials riders to pick up some 'never before seen in America' type of tv coverage and that is positive but a trials bike is not going to win Endurocross. Nick is a very talented rider and in awesome shape and he rode that bike to the max and made it to the final. The final is completely different in that it has the best and fastest riders in the world and they are riding the motorcycles like they are trials bikes but they have so much more power and they put an insurmountable lead over Nick.
Remember I attempted to enter EX with my trials bike the year before and was declined. After riding on my KTM I said that there was no way a trials motorcycle would win that race and after watching Nick in the final I'll put money on it.
Think about it, our 10x national champ said the same thing and he's pretty much an expert on the subject. He could've entered on his trials bike and didn't. What does that tell you?
Next year I may just enter on my trials bike because I'd like to see how I do against other riders on trials bikes. Then yall have a really good show
Every interview I've heard is with people saying "this is the most awesome motorcycling event I've ever watched". It's going to grow and I don't think it will be long before they have to put it at a super size stadium. It could even turn into a series becuase people like to watch riders crash.

6 inches of the white stuff in Big Bear so far this morning! Geez, no wonder I can't get any sleep.
-
Hey Pip,
What the hell you been up to? Nice to see you pop your head out of the studio once in a while. You going to be at Romoland? If so, I'll make sure not to show up so I don't ruin your good time.
-
Ride on Craig. Now that was funny right there!!
-
Yeah, if you like high maintenance women!
-
I don't think KBB or NADA guides factor the bottle of Tequila that is consumed with each bike built.
-
Although I'm just a little partial to Montesa I would suggest, like others have, that you go to an event and ride each different brand because there are some pretty big differences that cater to different riding styles. Althought the Montesa is the best built bike out there it's not the best for hopping. I was actually really suprised how well the later Scorpas like to hop so definetly try one of those. They do have a replacement skid plate that is level [don't ask why the stock one is off camber].
Pretty much all the bikes are built well these days. Notice I said 'pretty much'. The only thing I know to do with multiple gasses is burn them.

1] Didn't disgrace my self and didn't HAVE to post an apology, simply pisse of a few people and thought it best to accept responsibility for my minor infraction.
2] There's no doubt in anyones mind that America will not produce a world round champion in our lifetime but when we don't have a world round here, I'll be glad to jump on your girlfriend with a Big Mac in each hand under the street lights.
3] Now that's funny!!!
4] Johnny Ringo was an outlaw not a drummer and Pete Best couldn't touch Jon Bonham.
5] Kimmie [pics 2 and 3] works with specialy gifted children so I'm sure I could talk her into taking your charity case
6] God Bless Cota Kid for having a sense of humour and the nuts to fire right back.

I guess Dan didn't get the memo on sarcasm and internet bench racing. Uh, Dan welcome to my world in which my arguements never carried any weight to begin with.
Thank you, DAD, for letting me what you think is appropriate. I didn't think your wife was appropriate last night, nonethess I didn't let that ruin a good time.
Geez, Sorry Andy, I'll go back to America where we've been able to remove the guys with the sticks in their arses.
I'm still thinking Cota Kid has the nuts to respond for himself. He's earned a few points in the past.
-
Yeah, that's it. Give me a forum and I'll send in pics of all my girlfriends. How racey can I get
I'm supposing that Andy will let me know how far I can go!!!!
-
Hey Cota Kiddie,
When you're done with your milk and cookies, taking out the trash for mommy, and finished your mother goose nightly read, look up how many trials motorcycles are sold in the USA vrs. Guatemala? Then, before you decide to get all up in my nuts about whether or not its a foregone issue that the most powerful nation in the WORLD should or should not have a WORLD ROUND each year, just remember that you had better be ready to put down your squirt gun and superman outfit and crawl into mommy's bed cuz I'm going to come at you so hard that you'll have nightmares about your bublegum sealing your braces so bad that you can't talk and not even mommy's nightly rendition of 'rock a bye baby' will put you at ease.
Andy my Brutha! You must relaize that your insanity was a stroke of genious in that you've not only cleaned up a lot of trash in the other forums but you've also brought back some of what 80% of the people that read this forum look for and that's the internet bashing/b.s.ing.
Now about your "trials riding" comment....how's that working out for you?
-
Who in the "F" decided that Guatemala should have a world round instead of the United States of America?
With qualified and proven trials venues in America that have had incredibly positive reponse from the riders, someone decided that Guatemala should have a world round. That's about as smart as Jamaica holding a winter olympics. Hey, at least Jamaica has a bobsled team.
Somebody tell me who or what trials is happening in Guatemala.
What the hell do you think is going to happen when I get kicked out of a third world county venue? I'll never see America again... Oh wait, I get it now, nevermind. Now you're going to tell me that Ahlers headed the committe to have it placed there just for one year.
-
Well there you have it from THE beave himself. "ONLY to compete with the europeans"
I would never put my kid on a 125 to give him a smooth transistion from the small 80cc to the full adult sized 250cc that would simply make too much sense and we all know that I never make sense, unlike the beave who is crystal clear and 100% consistant 100% of the time.
That's exactly ONLY why motocross fathers put their kids on 125 cc motorcycles as well, ONLY to compete with the europeans.
With that mentality a motocross father who didn't want his kid to compete against the Europeans would simply move his kid from the KTM 50 class straight to a CRF 450F.
Hey beave, thanks for putting a smile on my face again! I rather enjoy clowns.....and yes it takes on to know one!
-
Jive Talker,
You are a gentleman and a scholar and your kindness is exceeded only by your generosity. I sincerely hope that I can meet you someday so that I may have the honor of personaly Biatch slapping you.
-
Chris Florin will be the US champ for 07.
I'm a gambling man, anyone care to place bets?
This could turn out to be a good year for me if Fraceman takes me up on my other bet!
-
Ahhh Pip. Always a good guy and fun to toss words with. I'm simply going to sit back and enjoy this. I'm not on here enough to see what it is that makes you think I'm Doc but I do hope you like the taste of your foot when the truth is told.
-
You Pippie Longstocking,
It's amazing the shat you come up with when your wife doesn't let you out of your cage. Although, reading that last post from Doc might lead some of the less intelligent to the same conclusion that you did, simplly because he mentioned Montesa a few time, I must point out that he's proven himself to be in the 55 or 60 and above age range. Of course you may not have grasped that over the last few months due to less than average IQ that most musicians seem to have, Nonetheless I'm charmed that you would think of me so much as to put the effort into using that elephant sized brain of yours to come up with such a deduction.
Remember that the beave is the one who is good at talking to himself.
Doc, last I heard you were supposed to be at Reed Valley last weekend. Were you?
I should've figured that bringing back an old topic might bring on some long overdue schmack talking!!!
-
Yo Pipster,
There is definately a point but you'll just have to be patient to see how this thread pans out. Doc, is this your way of saying that you think Montesa would be your first choice but there is no way that you are going to go along with anything that Johnny Ringo might?
Keep in mind everyone that I'm not bashing any brand or saying any one brand is better than the other. I grew out of that long ago.....I think, didn't I???
I'm just curious to see where we all stand with this particular scenario.
-
Let's say that are a highly competitve, sponsored motorcycle rider who is ready to retire from competition. Let's also asume that you have been sponsored for all of your professional career. I'm guessing that the amount of support you would have been accustomed to would be greatly reduced therefore you would want to choose the most dependable and reliable motorcycle available.
What trials motorcycle do you supposed you would choose?
-
The word is that Fred would not anyone to mourn. Rather be happy etc.
A tremendous loss to the trials community and his family but I'm sure he will be happy to be remembered in a joyous way.
All the best to Martin and family during this time of adjustment.
Johnny

Hey Ronny,
I'm second only to you Brutha!

My truck really loves the attention and care I treat it with.
Just thought I'd make sure the advanced sections were cleanable.
